STI vs a 350z I'd say STI all the way as it's the better performer. Now STI vs. the 370z I would say get the 370z as it's the better performer. Even in handling the 370z is much better than the awd of the STI. Until Subaru updates it's STI it's going to be lacking compared to other cars coming out. I previously owned a 06 WRX as well as my Z's. The WRX was a blast and great handling. Now I'm looking to replace my totaled WRX and I'm looking at the STI or 370z. Sadly the STI just can't compete so I'll probably go for the Z.

very tru, but in my opinion and i kno ppl are going to disagree but, the 370z looks like a catfish with the new lights, exterior is just plain ugly, and for the sti roomier, brembos stock, and more interior features, just my 2 cents, you guys can all disagree.

I respect the Sti it is a very very fast car and responds well to mods.

Simply put, personal pref. it's not a car for me, if I wanted a turbo-4, I'd hit the evo first but even then they're just not for me. I don't want to call them "a family car with a turbo" 'cos that's not what they are they're rally cars and really awesome rally cars to watch, but I just can't get away from the fact that they don't look exciting, are over populated and don't really do anything except grip and GO (though they do it very well).

When you consider the pricing (here in oz anyway), they are all around the same price so no one here gets a "better" car, they get what they wanted and what suits them.

All in all I think subi will go from strength to strength with the Sti and the new model is testiment to that.

. . . I guess.
I am getting my new car in May and am still deciding between a 2007 STI (Subaru Certified; 10,000 miles and change) and a 2008 NISMO 350Z brand new. The STI is priced at 27K and the Z at 33K (they're offering 7K off the sticker straight-up). In all honestly, the more I think about it the more I feel like the STI is for me. I'm not one who is going to be going to drag strips or doing highway racing or anything of the sort. I just want a car that is fast around town and that I can have lots of fun in from time to time. I could easily get the STI at stage 2 within a few weeks of buying it as I already have the necessary funds to do so. However I've never been a fan of 4 doors. It really will come down to the test drive in order for me to make my decision.

Slighty off topic, but the new STI is really growing on me. I've seen a few in person and I think they look good.
