Kalaeloa Raceway Park will be participating in the 2010 Kapolei Light Parade this Saturday, Dec 11th! Our volunteers will be passing out a limited run of 2,000 Flyer Coupons during the walk! These flyers are good for $2.00 off admission to any of our events in December (1 flyer per person)!

As a reminder, HulaCross is happening on Dec 12th in what is to be an exciting day. For the first time ever, we'll be holding a true wheel-2-wheel, flag to flag, lapping RACE. That means the first person across the finish line wins! It's sure to be all out carnage and off-road action this coming Sunday, so come on out and have a great time with us!

On Dec 18th, SCCA RallyCross will be holding it's third off-road event...this event is perfect for personal vehicles, and is a chance to get out there and rough it up for bragging rights! See the SCCA RallyCross section for more info!

And finally, our big Christmas Sand Drag happens on Dec 26th! This will be a heads-up elimination drag race featuring DOUBLE PURSE! It's an all out sand war, so join us for some great family entertainment!

Here's some pix for everyone from the Kapolei City Lights Parade! There was alot going on this weekend, but this was a great event and great exposure for the park! More on our Build The Track! and Kalaeloa Raceway Park FB pages, including videos of the semi-truck tooting the freight train horn and whistle, plus some photos of the huge amount of work that went into it! Results for the Dec 12th HulaCross have been posted on the KRP website, including photos of the winner and a PDF with all available times!

Congrats to our winners, Fastest Time - Steven Oliberos - 59.97 - $100, 2nd Fastest time - Davin Kubo - 1:01.00 - $75, 3rd Fastest time - Shane Moniz - 1:02.03 - $50, Wild Wahine Challenge Winner - Josie Smith - $435. The winner of the informal Hulagan Racing W2W was Shane Moniz with his Jeep Cherokee, 2nd place was Chad Moniz in his Ford Explorer, and third went to Ryan Evans in his Honda Odyssey Go-Kart!

I guess...like any motorsport it has it's initial entry cost. It's 50 to run...with whatever car you bring. The cars they're using are all junkers for the most part. The guys that take care of their cars seem to last quite well. The guys that go ***** to the walls, well, their vehicles reflect that. You don't have to wreck your car to win. We've had Subaru WRXs win a spot on the podium for the last three events. Davin Kubo drove his car up from AutoX (the same day) raced, and got second place.

Motorsports ain't cheap...that's for sure. $50 to race a track is dirt cheap though...even offroad costs more than that on the mainland. I know...

There will be a mandatory Driver's Meeting will be held at 6PM on Wednesday, Jan 19th, 2010 at "The Sandbox" on Sand Island. We're holding the meeting here as a courtesy for our windward participants. If it's important for you to keep your race number and you want know how the 2011 program will be ran we recommend that you attend....... We will discuss the new rules for 2011.

And again, our 1st Sand Drag Test N' Tune of the year will be held on Jan 30th, 2011. This is not a race, so it'll be grudge racing all day with as many runs as you can squeeze in! Come on out and join the fun!

We've got another HulaCross coming up on Feb 13th! We'll also be holding a special event! RALLY RIGS! That's where we take a semi (like an International) and prep it for HulaCross! We're going to have several of these bad boys going toe-to-toe in a no-holds barred wheel to wheel race!

Don't forget, we'll also have HulaBeaters for rent! $200 includes your $50 run card and allows you to absolutely tear up the course in one of our prepped vehicles. You can race all day or until you've broken it! Race on a real track in a real car with no questions asked if you happen to bust a tire! Where else can you do that?

So come on out and join us for the 2nd HulaCross of the year! Hulagan Racing, Yeah!

Hello Hulagans!

We're set for our third Hula-X event for the year! Join us on Sunday, March 13th as off-road extreme action gets is mud on once again at Kalaeloa Raceway Park! A big mahalo to everyone that has continued to support this event with their, time, money, and passion!

Our last event was incredibly good fun...and probably one of the most exciting events we've had yet. The W2W action was fast and furious, and the times were super-quick. We also have had a great turnout of new competitors as well as some incredible rides put together for the event. The Randy's Services Team was a great example of what we'd like to see for our entrants...it gives our spectators something to watch, makes identification easier, and makes the entire event look a bit more professional. Plus, stickers give like an extra 5HP each, so how can you go wrong? Big ups to everyone coming out with fully-prepped vehicles like Kelii Pontin, Cy Thomas, Koa Grace, Keahi Keliinoi, Steve Oliberos and the rest who have really put a ton of work into their vehicles. It really shows, and we appreciate the dedication, as well as the added safety factor.

HulaBeaters!

Once again, we'll have more HulaBeaters available for rent. The $200 rental fee includes your $50 run card, and allows you to run all day or until the vehicle is a total loss, whichever comes first. We will also have our tire guy on hand, ready to change your tires if needed. We have 7 vehicles available for rent! Thanks to the guys that came out and rented our HulaBeaters! We hope you had fun!

We would like to encourage everyone to help spread the word about this event. It's a spectacular show, and we think people will really enjoy the commitment and dedication all of you put into it. We appreciate your support, and hope to continue to improve the event for your satisfaction. We hope everyone is checking out the photos and articles we put up on the official website!

I hope to see all of you there once again! We're expecting a big turnout, drivers wise, so it should be exciting! See you on Sunday!
