This trip was long overdue but I finally made it out to it. I have only been there once when I was maybe 10yrs old and didnt remember anything. There's rivers and waterfall everywhere because I went during the peak season when the snow melted. It was hard to find the sweet spots when you're just on the main road but one of these days I'll go hiking there and take some money shots. Until then, all I got are these. Hope some of you can enjoy them.
Wow, beautiful pictures!! I was just there about a month ago and took some pics too, but mine are nowhere near as nice as these I love those shots of Merced River!! I remember all those places but picture #7 doesn't look familiar. Where was that taken?
Thanks. My favorite location of the whole trip. Best overlook IMO.

I went back in May when the water was at it's peak.
#1 and #7 is pretty much at the same location. I was facing left when I shot #1 and I just turned to my right to shoot #7.
For #1, I was using a CP filter if I remember correctly.
#8 was taken just right after the Merced River. Maybe like 2min drive after it. It was during the peak season for the waterfall so I wont be surprise if this is another one of those "no name" rivers that were created during the snow melt.
Awesome work TYC... do you mind giving away some of your expert advice?

did you use77mm UWA lens set at 11-16mm? f/16-22? 3-5 sec exposure? 3-stop ND filter or something higher like a 9-stop? CP 77 filter? any HDR tone mapping or was it all done with ND soft grad filters?
Photo 2: did you use HDR tone mapping from Photomatrix or from CS4? hard or soft ND 3-stop grad filter? CP filter?
Photo 3: post processing saturation adjustment? CP polarized? taken at 11mm wide angle?
