Somali Pirates Captured by French and Dutch/EU forces prepare for battle
A victory French naval forces in pirate-ridden Somali yesterday. Officials released nine pirates and destroyed their boat before handing them over to officials.
So they captured these 9 pirates and released them to the Puntland Government. So that's like letting them go back to Piracy. These guys will be back in their boats in no time at all.
Next time, shoot the pirates and deliver the bodies. With treatment like this, nothing will be discouraged.
Put out a curfew on all small boats more than 3 miles from shore. No boats allowed out that far 1 hour before sunset to 1 hour after sunrise.
The UN has the power to establish such rules. (see UNCLOS) They need to step up and enforce them.
