Look, Personally, I don't care if he tells people they shouldn't blow all their money on gambling. What would be left for hookers and blow?
But in all fairness, He should have said, "Don't blow your money in Vegas. Let me blow it for you in Washington. That would be much more fun for me."
He shouldn't have said it that way, but his message was more of "Maybe you should be saving your money" and not "f*ck las vegas*, which is what people need to be doing. But, maybe he should lead by example, too.

Yeah, it's a pretty bonehead move seeing as how Vegas is still part of the US Economy, and more importantly, good and bad "press" can and will directly affect individuals.
But seriously... since when do conservatives give two s**ts about Vegas? Oh yeah, when it serves their purpose. I thought you all were about people tightening their belts these days? (Which was the point Obama was trying to make.)
Penn's right though... those of us that voted for Obama did take a gamble, but I don't think we went all-in. We bought in to a very expensive table, and we're taking our hits right now, playing aggressively, hoping for big payout when the cards fall our way.

Id' gladly go to Vegas (actually, I'd pick a destination where I wouldn't be shot and given the herp) if the government would give me more than half the money I earn each year.

I failed to see where Obama said not to go to Vegas. He did make mention about being financially responsible if you have an education to save up for... how does that not make complete sense?
