I hate to give money to the guy, but I may have to buy HIS book (Stupid White Men) along with this one, so I can get both sides of the story. But I can't help but enjoy it when someone's sarcasm comes back to bite them in the butt.
His career as an entertainer of idiots can't last forever. Eventually the lies and deceptions will come back to haunt him. If he's suing the publisher of his book for publishing the new book he claims slanders him, do you think they'll ever publish anything of his again? Eventually, there's only so much money to be made from deception. He better enjoy it while it lasts. Others will capitalize on exposing his crap for what it is and he'll be finished. His credibility will be nill except with the most wishful of thinkers and it won't be enough to sustain him. I hope he's invested his earnings well because he'll need it.
Hmmm, might have to get it. Of course, I think I might not care enough. Only motivation is to educate myself enough to reveal him for the big fat idiot he is when people bring up his moneymaking movie that preys on the feebleminded.
The book presents one example after another, alternating between frightening and hilarious, to make a brilliant case for Moore having Narcissistic Personality Disorder.
[psych. hat on]Funny. That always was my professional assessment.[/psych. hat off]
"Hollywood agent and Kerry supporter Tom Baer told me, 'Kerry should flee Moore's movie. It's Goebbels all over again." This quotation comes not from Ann Coulter or Sean Hannity or Rush Limbaugh but from a column in the Washington Post by Tina Brown, a queen of the liberal media establishment.
Even his political "side" runs from him (rightfully so).

Hey isn't that the one you told me I have?
Pete (is starting to like this Moore fellow)

A pervasive pattern of excessive emotionality and attention seeking, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by five (or more) of the following:
a. is uncomfortable in situations in which he or she is not the center of attention
b. interaction with others is often characterized by inappropriate sexually seductive or provocative behavior
c. displays rapidly shifting and shallow expression of emotions
consistently uses physical appearance to draw attention to self
d. has a style of speech that is excessively impressionistic and lacking in detail
e. shows self-dramatization, theatricality, and exaggerated expression of emotion
f. is suggestible, i.e., easily influenced by others or circumstances
g. considers relationships to be more intimate than they actually are
That's a disorder??? Who knew??
Pete (must have himself committed)

It doesn't seem to me that even the left is taking Moore's latest movie seriously. Is anyone here?

The liberals I know are worried that Moore's movie might backfire and help Bush, because it's too over the top.

I'm sure it'll be good for a laugh or two. But when he repositioned this movie to go from "documentary" to "political satire", he lost what little credibility he had left (not that he had any with me to begin with). He's just severely deluded, IMO, and I kinda feel sorry for him--but then I remember he's made millions and the pity disappears.
Desperate move that reminds me of those MoveOn.org people trying to convince the rest of the world that "The Day After Tomorrow" was really going to happen.
The commercial still makes me laugh. If the whole thing is that way (just a big joke, like the Daily Show does or even Moore's old movie Canadian Bacon) I'd watch it.

>> I won't see it in the theater, but there is no doubt I'll watch it DVD.
Maybe I'll steal it. Then Moore can write a funny movie about intellectual property theft, and I'll steal that one too.

BTW, Moore will be on Conan O'Brien tomorrow night. That should be grueling.
