Politics posting has gone down and also we all kinda know where each one of us stands. . . I guess the quality of the material is better, but at the same time people aren't jumping in to conversations out of nowhere...
Dave (thinks now that 1337 is gone we can go back to the old system... yet worries 1337 is lurking )

I think MM raises some valid arguements, but then discredits himself by going overboard with his leftist retoric, or by telling half truths.
MM and my Ex have the same idea in ther heads that if you leave some information out when telling you something, it`s not really a lie.
I think on of the funniest posts, I wish the search function would work, was when Jesse said something was a "False Truth"...
...LOL...
The spin doctors are in season! Yay!
I actually have a friend that wants to become a spin doctor.
During the MM interview on the Daily Show, however, MM was discussing how the right continued to try to object to his movie, etc, and it was very funny because he said he had no idea he would get so much free publicity. He said they're all getting Christmas cards, lol. Its true though, if the conservatives had left the movie alone it would've been big, but now its hugely controversial.
I know I've got some college friends that can't wait to see the movie because they think its going to be some big eye opener for them and they'll find out the "real truth"... And most of them have no plans to vote (living in CA basically guarantees Kerry a win, but then again we do have Ahnold the Governator)...
Dave (is going to vote even if it doesn't matter)...

I am going to see this movie 2night. I am a hard core MM hater, but all my friends want to see this film. I figure i will go along and discredit all the crap he says. I will let you all know how terrible the movie is
I really want to see that movie Michael Moore Hates America, that looks like a much better documentary.
I have a bet with my friend that, if John Kerry wins the election, which he won’t, I will grow a mullet. So get out and vote, I need those 52 electoral votes u cali guys have.
whats amazing is that the nbc nightly news tonite pointed out that the film is full of half-truths designed to mislead people. I could see that from fox news, but not nbc, good for them. One example. He goes up to congressmen and asks them how they would like to send their kids off to war. he decided to cut the one congressman who told him how proud he was that his son just left for afghanistan a week or 2 before.
the movie was terrible, i found bowling for columbine to be at least entertaining, this movie was boring. It was one big political rant about how the US sucks and Bush is worse the Osma. I didn’t think it was possible but this movie was worse then i had thought it was going to be. He basically said that our soldiers are responsible of children die and that we should be ashamed for fight this war. He showed a bunch of dieing burnt up Iraqi children then he cuts to these US soldiers talking about how they like to listen to let the bodies hit the floor while they are fighting. Then he cuts to a women asking God to punish the infidels because her family got blown up by a US bomb. While most people in the theater seemed have guilt about what our soldiers had done there after hearing this women, the only thing i could think of was that its a war and people die and if her country men hadn’t been douche bags and supported terrorism then maybe her family would have been around 2day.
He also showed images from 9/11 and then used the images for his won political rant which i found extremely offensive. He pokes fun at devises designed to escape skyscraper that was attacked. I lost interest in the movie at this point and zoned out for like 15 min. Almost every statement in this movie was some sort of half truth, flat out lie or misleading statement. I wish i could have those 2 hours of my life back.

You already said you were a " hard core MM hater", so even if the movie was good, you'll still find fault on it. Just like if someone LOVES a new movie, they're gonna said its "The Movie of the YEAR!" (even if it sux, and you all know which Texan I'm talkin bout )
True it might sux (haven't seen it), but a review with a bias viewpoint doesn't prove anything. (nothing against you, after all you could be right and I'm not paying 10bux to prove you wrong either ) Just like if 1337 reviewed it as a 'Must See Movie of the YEAR!"

I'm glad you thought that was funny, however I'd have to see where I said that because that doesn't sound like anything I'd say.
On topic, Michael Moore has the right idea. However he goes about it all wrong. If he would stick to hard facts, instead of twisting things to fit what he wants to say, he'd have a lot more credibility.
BTW, dczoner, I didn't figure you'd be a Daily Show watcher. It's one of my favorite shows on TV.

Yeah i am a hard core Micheal Moore Hater, but i did enjoy BFC and i say so openly. This movie wasnt even entertaining. I found it to just be plain old boring, excpet for maybe 10 min in the whole movie.
And i payed for white chicks and snuck in, so he doesnt get my money

Hmmm, was Fahrenheit suppose to be entertaining?
Oh and is the movie white chicks payback for that cheese 80's movie Soul Man. Where the white kid pretends to be black to get into Harvard (including black makeup and jerry curls)
If I could find it I would... anyways, yes, I'm a big fan of the Daily Show, as well as Tough Crowd and Dennis Miller on CNBC. I think Jon Stewart is absolutely brilliant in a roundabout slapstick kinda way. Also, I really like Lewis Black's appearances - I don't agree with his politics but I'm not sure anyone can deliver material better than Black.
Tough Crowd I think gets bogged down by the same problem that plagued Politically Incorrect - just when you're really getting in to a topic - they cut to commercial! Argh! I think they have 4-5 breaks an episode. Pretty weak IMO, but the commentary you do get is usually very funny and oftentimes brutally honest.
Dennis Miller is just Dennis Miller. He's funny, witty, intelligent, and treats all his guests fairly.
Oh yeah, I'm not going to go see F911 - I vote with my dollars and MM ain't getting mine.

I wonder if MM has seen "Supersize This"
I did`nt like Bill Maher on "Politically Incorrect". There was absolutely nothing politically incorrect about that show. Having three "C" list "celebrities" discuss current events and basically give there opinions that were in line with what everybody pretty much thinks. I wanted to see someone go completely against popular thought. Like have some member of the nation of Islam sitting across from a white surpremist sitting next to a Rabbi. That would be entertaining television.
Wait a minute, I think I just thought of a show!
