We should use Israeli bullets and dip them in pig's blood before loading them into the guns. Then maybe some terrorists would surrender, so their dead bodies wouldn't be defiled.
cart (knows blood would clog the guns, so it won't work)
The comment was made by a member of a subcommitee for the Armed Services. Maybe it came up in a discussion regarding how many bullets they have in stock (which would be a good thing to think about every so often). They retrieved their inventory list, which happened to include the source of the bullets, and they saw this purchase from Israel, which stood out like a sore thumb among all the purchases from US firms.
Since the Armed Services committee is inherently anti-semitic (of which I have no proof or even any justification for stating except to support the scenario I am building), they decided to state that these bullets would not be used in combat, claiming propoganda reasons, wherein the real reason lie within their desire to prevent any future purchases from being given to any Israeli companies.

I agree, and I am glad the media did not make it a problem. (Did you even read the link Ronny?) I'm kinda surprised that Mannish thought this worthy of a thread to discuss. I tried to put a spin on it to at least try and make it interesting.

Yeah, I read it. But if you don't think it's worthy of a thread, then why is it worthy of a story?

Stay tuned for my daily thread about the weather conditions in Orange, CA. I gotta feeling it will make quite a controversial topic for us all to discuss.

If the media didn't make it a problem, why is there an article on it in the media]? I'm confused.
And the point was that the media didn't pick it up broader. It is stupid that somebody on the armed services committee had to grandstand this issue. IMO, this is in effect a weird way of promoting the anti-Israeli hate.
If you notice, Scafremon, most of my threads that I actually create are on obscure stories that I think are covered but that most people won't see or hear of. I don't start threads on the big stuff, I let others do that

I don't think that just because something is written in the media means that they have turned it into a problem (hence my weather comment). It's just fodder for people to do with what they want. The reuters story did not editorialize on the content, but we sure have. We/I turned it into a problem by coming to some conclusions, which may or may not hold water.

The only additional information I wish they had provided was some type of comparison between qty of rounds and cost of rounds. Then, we could better compare the Israeli purchase to the overall need of our troops.

No. Just jealous because you do google better then me.
