GT Motorsports® Spec Exedy® Carbon Series clutches
We are in the process of designing our site, so please bear with us. Until then, we will make the introduction of our products here.
Now: GT Motorsports® Spec Exedy® Carbon Series clutches
We’d like to make an introduction of our special partnership with Exedy® Japan and Exedy® USA, for which we have been a master distributor for a long time. As a result of this partnership, Exedy® has developed a special specification series of carbon clutches that will be available exclusively through GT Motorsports®.
The clutches will be available in two configurations, twin and triple disk versions. Both share one major design implementation that makes them unique, and additionally different from other Exedy® carbon series – the patented spider cog drive damper, a sprung hub that goes a long way in reducing shock to driveline components and drivetrain noise, specifically the most intrusive variety that is amply prevalent at low engine revolutions with unsprung hub design variety clutches. This is also the component that, along with the unique superior carbon fiber friction material, is responsible for the very OEM-like feel of the clutch. In slow engagement of the clutch from a standstill as well as between gears is decidedly smoother and more progressive than other multi-disk carbon clutches, while assuredly responsive in rapid engagement.
On a subjective level, this clutch just feels amazingly smooth in every situation, low rpm ranges included. Our own testing has confirmed this clutch to be simply the best available for the Nissan 350z/Infiniti G35 platform.
The twin-disk version of the clutch is available now, and carries a unique part number that is NOT available through any other source (Exedy Part# NT01HDMC). The triple disk version will be available in the near future. Exedy recommends the following maximum torque ratings for the NT01HDMC twin-disk clutch:
Road Race: 830/747 (flywheel/wheel lbs-ft of torque)
Drag & Street Drag: 670/603 (flywheel/wheel lbs-ft of torque)
This clutch will go a long way in carrying its function reliably as well as protecting the transmission, driveline components (axles), and differential from shock and premature failure.
The sprung hub is nice for street driving. Any idea on how much the triple plate will be? The twin is already as much as the carbonetic triple.
Makes me wish i had just waited to do my car. Its taken so long nothing on it is new anymore and eveyone has come out with better stuff lol
Don't know the price of the tipple yet ,we will keep everyone posted,I know this clutch is not cheap ,but by far its the smoothest clutch I had ever felt ,it is a peace of art
Thats why its on sale! Good time to pick one up. If you want a reliable clutch that can hold big power and be as close to OEM regarding quietness and feel this is the clutch for you!
