On Sale! GT Motorsports® Spec Exedy® Carbon Clutch Twin Disk
Hello My350z.com members,
GT Motorspors would like to offer the community a limited time offer to pick up one of the best twin-disc carbon clutches currently available for the VQ35 platform, The GT Motorsports® Spec Exedy® Twin Disc Carbon clutch!
Now don't get this confused with the other twin disc carbon clutch offered by Exedy sold else where. This clutch (Exedy Part# NT01HDMC) is only available exclusively through us and is superior to their standard twin disk carbon clutch due to the patented spider cog drive damper. We have tested this clutch on Nitrouz' car making 680rwhp and over 600lb/fts of torque at the wheels with NO issues. This is real world testing and not just a number on a website. This clutch is the REAL DEAL. More information on this clutch along with pictures are available at the link listed below.
Now this clutch is available for a rediculously low price of only $2,420.00 plus shipping! Again this won't last and once this batch is gone they go back to regular pricing.
PM me for payment details and shipping arrangements.
These clutches are IN STOCK and READY TO SHIP. Don't miss out on this great deal!
It really all depends on the driving the conditons and the intended use of the car. It is a very hard to say. I am not sure if the carbon material will wear faster but I have never heard of that before. Regardless this is the clutch I will be running on my car which will be on the street and track.
The clamping force the clutch has should make it last longer than any other clutch out there that is comparable. Properly driven ofcourse
The longevity of the clutch really depends on the end user. If driven properly the clutch will last for a very long time. Again many factors come into play here, such as power, type of driver, purpose of the car, etc.
So no chatter with this clutch huh?
Also, would it be a total waste to run this clutch with only a few bolt ons?
Correct not chatter, and its never a waste since this would be the last clutch you would ever have to buy regardless of any power improvements you make in the future
Clutch is beautiful and strong, and easy to use. Feel is almost stock, with a slightly smaller engagement area, but not jerky. No chatter, sounds like normal.
And as for the strength, well, last race weekend, I blew up my transmission. Tranny was stuck in fifth gear, but the clutch still worked to engage/disengage. Couldn't shift out of fifth gear, though. So, instead of getting a tow, I decided to drive home from the track (about 30 miles), slipping my clutch at lights when need be. Made it home, no problem, and no really bad clutch burning smell.
Had it towed to the dealer next day, and they replaced my tranny, and inspected my clutch plate. They said the clutch looked almost brand new (and this is about 10k miles after I had the clutch installed, muyltiple track days, and the drive home in fifth gear!!!)
If thats not a testament to how strong this clutch is, I don't know what would be.
