Default Flat Foot Shifting Is Here!!!

Exclusively available at MRC Motorsports we will begin shipping the 350Z WOT boxes at the end of this week! This will allow the user to flat shift the 350Z and save on expensive Driveline components !

The unit will cut the power to the ignition coils when the vehicle is Wide Open Throttle and each time the clutch is depressed.

Video of it in action on my car:

Thanks to Jay@N2MB for hooking this unit up!! It hooks up in a matter of 15 minutes tapping off only 3 wires.
The ignition coil power, the clutch switch and the TPS switch, thats IT!!

The WOT shifting will cut ignition from 25ms up to 700ms, all set by the end user by simply holding the buttot on the unit down till the blue LED starts flashing, each flash is 25MS incriments...
I am telling you guys, this unit will lower drag racing ET's!!!

What is WOT?

WOT stands for Wide Open Throttle.
What is the WOT Box?

The WOT Box is an electronic device that makes WOT shifting easy by reducing your engine's power for a very short timed period while you shift. It allows the synchros in your transmission to mesh easily, reducing the chance of missing a gear and damaging your transmission. If the input shaft on a manual transmission is not allowed to slow down enough it will lock you out of gear time after time. We have developed a solution to the problem by controlling the ignition at the shift point to ease the transition from one gear to another.
What is WOT Shifting?

WOT shifting is a common practice used by drag racers regardless of if they are running turbo, supercharger or naturally aspirated. WOT shifting is accomplished by holding the gas pedal to the floor and never "lifting" off the gas during the shift. The problem with doing so is when you depress the clutch engine RPMs flare up and a brief amount of time is required for the transmission input shaft to slow down. Even the most successful drivers have been known to miss a gear occasionally. It requires complete concentration and lightning quick reactions in order to pull it off.
"Keep the pedal to the metal, blip the clutch, and grab the next gear. Do it fast enough before the redline, and your reward will be a zero lag, constant boost shift."
When you WOT shift, your engine is still producing peak power through the shift. With the clutch released, the engine revs up. This increase in RPMs and the full output power of the engine makes it very difficult for the synchros in your transmission to engage. The result means that WOT shifting can be very difficult and potentially damaging to your transmission.
How does the WOT Box make WOT Shifting easy?

Our WOT Box momentarily disrupts the engine power long enough for you to make an effortless, fast WOT shift. The result?
  • Lower ETs - One of our big turbo customer cars dropped their E.T. in the quarter mile from 12.0 to 11.3 seconds just by adding the WOT Box!
  • Reduced chance of missing a gear
  • More consistent, effortless shifts
  • Reduced wear on the transmission
  • Reduced chance of major transmission damage
We are running a group buy on the original WOT box unit, NOW WITH 2 STEP FEATURE!!The group buy will be set as follows..
Once we get 20 people on the group buy we will have the pricing set at:
Flat shift feature only $99.99 + $9.99 shipping
2 Step launch control- $99.99+$9.99
Both 2 step and flat shift features- $189.99=$9.99 shipping

Buy BOTH features and save on shipping!!

Wow, very cool. How do you expect this to affect clutch longevity?

right? if only someone put you in contact with jay to get one for your car...

anyway, if you own a 350z get one immediately.

jay@n2mb specializes in srt4s (built mine) and developed this for srt4s, turns out it works for just about any car with a manual transmission... i have one in my car, and i cant stop using it... basically when your driving you keep your foot on the gas pedal, you stomp the clutch, the power dies momentarily to the engine, throw the next gear and lift off the clutch, the car feels like a continuous pull...

but whatever im not here to sell you guys a product, i bought mine a few weeks after i raced a fellow srt4 with the same setup and he walked me from the third to fourth gear shift with his wot box

best product ever... its like buying a "driver mod"

srt's have seen over a half a second increase in 1/4 miles times JUST from this box, depending on mods and size of the turbo of course! haha

no more dropping out of boost, or losing that power between shifts!

As soon as I read this, I immediately thought of the Ikeya shifter too, I'm interested to see the results.

I was wondering when someone would make this. I had an srt4 also, and read about them all the time.
