My Vortech dyno posted! 407.9whp

I'm pretty stoked...

This is a 3.12 pulley, crawford intake plenum, nismo cat-back, and grounding kit...

Thanks a ton to Shawn at Church's Automotive, he's great...

Totally appreciate it

Those are my only mods that are related to the engine...

It was the dyno at Church's... Perhaps it's generous?

Everybody knows Church's dyno is very, very happy. Regardless, enjoy the set-up...

Sounds about right to me based on all the cars that Shawn has tuned. Congrats!

Does that seem like A TON of boost for the 3.12?

I'm not implying that he's forging it or anything, I'm just curious. I thought the 3.12 were for 9ish psi?

well something doesnt add up bc u cant get 11.5psi off the 3.12 pulley unless u modified the cog setup.

His boost meter hose was actually tapped into the intake manifold

hey, its a dynopak, so the numbers are going to be really high.

i have no problem with people posting their numbers and being excited, just know when you are on a certain type of dyno, the numbers will be higher than normal. you would probably make around 360-370 on a dynojet.

congrats on the Vortech and have fun!!! there are a couple big dips in the graph though...

That boost sensor has to be off. I personal have hit 11.5 psi one time when it was 45 degrees out and I revved my car to 7200 rpms. But I usually hit around 8.5 psi at 6600 rpms with my 3.12 pulley. Also, those numbers are definitely inflated but then again I guess church's dyno seems to consistently do that...

i myself don't value dyno numbers that much. they vary so much from one dyno to another. i remmember when i first installed my vortech on my stock setup besides exhaust and high flow cat's. on one dyno jet i posted 380.5 rwhp. and then a week later when we decided to tweak the then installed s/s box i posted a base run before tuning of 405.0 rwhp on a diffirent dyno jet. i myself look a dynos as a tuning tool soley, as long as you perform all tuning on the same dyno at the same shop every time it is a good way to gauge the increase in power your next modding project accomplished. i myself will only dyno at GTM every time. when someone ask's what numbers i am pushing at the rear wheels i always say 400 ish never a specific number.

I have the 2.87 pulley and have never hit 11psi. I got as high as 10.8psi before but never 11psi. So yeah, those numbers seem to be a bit off. But hey whatever. As long as the OP has a good tune and is having fun, that's all that really matters.

Church's dyno is definitely not a WHP number. It is great for showing gains and tuning, but not great at replicating dynojet or DD results.

Also... what did Shawn say about those weird dips in torque, is that pulling timing or what?

Where's your AFR?

Numbers can and have always been backed up at the track. If it puts down 407whp, it will trap appropriately.

Trust me that dyno is nowhere near WHP. My car made 283 "hp" on what you see in my sig.
