Forged Performance: Greddy TT, 5AT, and more rehab
Seems like we've getting a lot more sadly neglected cars to fix up. This one spent two months at a local shop (that doesnt work on Z's and G's), and the owner couldnt even get a call back for a status update. So Doug contacted us to rescue his stranded babe. His G35 had originally had a Vortech SC on it, and it never really ran with much enthusiasm....so he wanted us to change that.
Since the motor was already forged, prior to the car's arrival, we took over by upgrading everything else. We left the engine as is, and put a nice gameplan together to acheieve a nice clean 400-450whp DD without compromising the daily driving capability of the car whatsoever. We also avoided taxing the stock auto trans too much.
Greddy TT Kit with FMIC
Fcon Vpro Complete Package
In House, Custom Knock Amp and EVC molding and paint
HKS EVC
Defi Gauge Collection
CJM RFS
FP Valve Body Upgrade
Greddy Evo TiC Exhaust
The runs like stock, except with about 200+whp more than stock. If you havent driven or riden in a 5AT turbo car, you will shat yourself. Even with "just" 430whp", this thing hauls arse in a very scary way. Enjoy!
Thanks for the comments guys. I forget to mention that we are putting a sick set of RE30 Limited on the car, with some massive rubber (DOT race compound). I will post some pics later this week.
To answer the previous question about the 5AT, the car faster, becuase no shifting is involved, and there is no loss of boost between a shift, as would be the case with the 6MT. Also, the lower final drive of the 5AT extends each gear even further.
Yep gotta love them 5ATs - congrats to the owner and FP. If I ever stop tweaking my car, I'll get my write up finished! You know I wanna see that dyno - stock TC correct? I'm doing a little study here, help me out
No tranny cooler or temp gauge at least? Tell the OP to spend a little more money - I think it's a must have with FI! Well, that's with an upgraded TC, maybe stock is fine. Hmmm... I need to know tranny temps on that car after a few WOT runs.

Yup, I'll never forget how well your 5AT performed, against cars with much more dyno power.
Yes, stock trq converter...just the VB upgrade. Your GTM built trans definately shifts much much more firmly.
