GT Motorsports: 370Z Stock block testing, and turbo system development
Well our 370Z test car finally arrived, it is not easy getting one
of these right now since they are still so fresh. We are currently testing the stock engine with our GTM VHR Test pipes, and are also developing a 370Z Catback exhaust system. Dyno results will be posted for both once testing is completed.
Looks like we are going to build the first twin turbo 370Z, which should be completed within the next 30 days. At which point we will be taking orders for our GTM 370Z Twin Turbo system.
We are very impressed with the power this car puts out in N/A form, nearly 290rwhp! With test pipes and exhaust we should be over 300rwhp. This model Z is lighter and feels much tighter than the 350Z. This platform is going to be the ticket for road racers, especially with the available Syncro Rev-match on the sport models!
Enjoy the pics and graph, more updates of the progress to follow.
ill be dynoing my bone stock 03 track edition at a nissan bbq/dyno day in washington and ill be posting graph in the thread and Ill be doing a dyno after simple mods thread. Intake, grounding kit, spark plugs, test pipes, exhaust, and etc. To put claimed numbers to the test. Check the northwest regional thread. Dyno will be January 24th.

Mmmm, interesting indeed. I've been sayin all along there is great potential for this platform. Much more than the outgoing model. I think Nissan did quite a bit a chassis development as well to make it more rigid and tight.

Thanks a million for the dyno charts. They are fairly conclusive. It is interesting that the 26 hp difference in the 35HR and 37VHR are seen at the wheels.
I also notice that you guys didn't get the sport pack. I imagine this is a cost savings measure since you wouldn't want to pay for systems you are going to replace (brakes and wheels). But doesn't that mean you forgo the SyncroRev Match?
