I have to agree that there is a lot more FI on here and we tend to send people over here to research.

Very nice job SP.... Was the cage being done to NHRA certification specs? I was wondering if you made the bar that runs along the door a "swingout" so that its easier to get in and out, if that would be against the track rules where the owner will be racing at. Also Chromoly or steel?

great thread....I love it!!!

like coach K said, what are the NHRA limits for having "swingouts?" I don't think swingouts are legal for 9 second cars. it doesn't look like you have swingout on those bars anyway.

The cage is chromoly, and will tech to 8.50. We didn't do the swingouts due to the short distance of the front door so it's a solid door bar and we also have rocker bars at the floor. It even has the window net

As for swingouts, we have them on our car, and they seem to cert to 8.50 as well. We have the nice spring loaded ones from Alston. We also had them on our drag supra and didn't have issues with that either.

I'll find the link for them and post up. They are a VERY nice piece, and easy to get in and out too.

Vlad's sedan will have a removable Sparco steering wheel to make it easier to get in and out.

Feel free to stop out anytime!!! I am thinking of having a big Z/G get together in late April at the shop followed up with a cruise out to Byron for a night of racing! The date will hinge on Vlads car being done so you all can see it up close and personal!

I will keep you all posted.
