Default Forged Performance: G37 GTM TT Kit Completed

Just wrapping up David's G37 TT build up. The car came in essentially bone stock, aside from his intake, and Borla exhaust. After hearing about the GTM TT kits, he called us to make it happen.

His build consisted of the following:

GTM Stage II Turbo Kit
GTM UpRev ECU Flash
GTM 3 Inch Downpipes with Dumps
Twin External Tial WG's
OS Giken Twin Plate Clutch
HKS EVC 6 Boost Controller
KW Variant 3 Coilovers
Hotchkis Sways
GT Spec Braces
Motul Fluids all around
Evans NPG+ Coolant

The car turned out great, and drives 100% like stock. Even the clutch is very streetable....at least by my standards. We set the boost to 7psi and 450whp until a large exhaust is installed in the future. This setup definately has a lot left in it.

All that's left is some final road testing, and installing his Stillen front splitter before he flys down to pick up the car. Enjoy!

That is some sick power on just 7psi. The APS twins on my old DE took needed 10psi to hit 450whp on a Dynapack.

Congratz to FP and the OP!

I have to admit that I'm kind of jealous of the amount of power that the stock block HR's and VHR's make with so little boost!

Shariff, is it difficult working with the VVEL? The engineers thought it could possibly benefit a turbo system as opposed to working against it. Do you play with VVEL at all in the tuning?

It's a GTM reflash, so I doubt Shariff tuned it. The VVEL issues seem to pop up with standalone ECU's and not reflashes from what I've seen.

Thanks everyone. So far the install looks like it went fine and that car put out good numbers for only 7psi. Im holding off on more power till i upgrade my small borla exhaust to the GTM 3" which is currently being shipped to my home. My original goal for TT was 500-550 and the GTM kit is going to make it very easy to hit that power goal. Just waiting for people in the STL area to come out with their tt 370z. But for now thats it. as soon as the exhaust is upgraded I will post more pics/vids. again Thanks everyone.

This might be dumb question but are those tubular/collector style headers standard on the HR?

Yes. Actually not a bad OEM design.

Edit: The ones pictured on the G37 are actually Stillen aftermarket headers. But the OEM header design is also fairly tubular, and a good OEM design.
