Forged Performance: 05 G35 6mt, Greddy Tuner, built block, 516 whp @ 14.5psi
Hey all! I've been following the many threads here and have been anxious to post my build. I've been posting on driver, but thought I would share here too. Now, thanks to Forged Performance I finally can, well what is now a completed stage 1
Background: I'm in the military and have had my G since it was new. Used to have a MKIII Supra, so I've not a stranger to basic boosting. I never intended to boost my car, but I got a little boring, even with the basic bolt-ons and Uprev reflash. So after researching and reading about the many builds on here, and with a deployment last year, I decided to do it. I made some calls to Forged last year while in Iraq to get Sharif's ideas and dropped the car off last August, expecting to pick it up this January. The biggest thing I wanted to achieve was to get the biggest chunk of the build out of the way, being the engine/turbo install. So far I've had it for a couple of weeks and all I can say is "wow!" Being only stage 1, I opted to wait on wheels/tires and suspension-needless to say I don't get much traction in 1st or 2nd with vdc on, but after that I am gone. The clutch has taken some getting used to also.
Prior mods:
MREV+, Alphawerks headers, crawford cats, xo2 exhaust, hotchkis sways, z-tube, pop-charger, jwt lightweight flywheel, clutch, Uprev Osiris reflash
FP Build list:
FP S1 shortblock
Greddy 20g TT Tuner
CJM FRS
Walbro, single
Koyo Rad
HKS 1000cc injectors, EVC 6, AFC, Camp2, Fcon vpro, BOV
Stoptech "stage 2" brake kit
JWT S7 Cams
Carbonetic triple disc clutch w/upgraded clutch line
Standard complete of FP recommended liquids
Thanks goes to Sharif for recommending the right parts to meet my goals, Sandy for giving updates and trying to find great deals on prices, Decker and Ryan for answering my numerous calls and helping me get parts straight. Special thanks and appreciation goes to Jason for the assembly of the car, and going through the rat's nest of wires. AMAZING! And of course Caesar for always greeting me at the shop when I visit.
No completed car/engine pics now. Needs some TLC after the 1000 mile drive to Texas last week. Stage II will be wheels/tires, suspension, some additional cooling mods, and more boost!
DYNO, I will be going to a DJ this week to see what she does there too.

Pics from today.
My vehicle monitoring system. I tried to retrofit a oem nav screen in, but couldn't get full functionality out of it. So instead I got a cheap 7" headrest monitor and stuck it in the cubby...seems to function well and with a lot less wiring. The camp2 is going through my Z1 headunit.
I replaced the mushrooms of death earlier this week. I plan on getting the upper plenum powder coated soon too.
I am adding an open mouth bumper to my stage II wish list
A little shop love!

Yeah, well it's a blast to drive and the 1000 mile trip from ATL to texas helped and those little trips back and forth from NC. Not a day goes by where don't open her up! Not sure if I need anymore boost right now cuz I'm still getting used to high boost, but I'm sure I'll want some more...twin pumps and meth added to the wish list
