He is a shop, I assume hoping to generate business from this thread.
From his sig & the fact almost every post has a business card in it:
The Central East Coast's Nissan Dyno Tuning/Motor Building Shop.
__________right in the middle of everything_________ email: sales@jgymotorsports.com
....been building Nissans since before the 350z. www.jgymotorsports.com
^Second post.

So I assume it was a thread more about an oddity, not to get more of those motor builds.
....maybe should not have called you a bird, but I think it was a joke
either way, what do you want from him? that might help him figure out what is going on.
maybe..there's some weird secret about this motor, maybe it's not in this country or something, hum.........
Why would you post a photo of the crankshaft with a business card?

I wouldn't think that many people would do a 4.3......probably just one.

He posted a thread about a build that has stalled. That happens all the time.
His responses have been odd to say the least when asked for updates.
Why not just not answer or say we hit a snag stay tuned?
You are right .0001% of the builds will be like this but if he pulls this off it is easy to pull off a normal build so he would get more business.
I posted his post of his business card.

I care because I have been the victim of one shop after another that did not do what they said they would (not him) and am about to R&R my THIRD freaking motor. this one has over 12k in parts invested and the motor sounds like marbles in the spin cycle 5k miles & 18 months later thanks to someone (they are pointing fingers) f00king up. Now I have to pay to pull the motor out & apart do get a diagnosis so MAYBE someone will accept responsibility.
So yes a nerve has been hit for me and I am simply pointing out shops take our money and then act like we are an annoyance when we want our working cars back.

It does maybe seem stalled. He may just not want to post until it's complete.
Sorry for your stream of bad luck with your motor. I hope the best for you.
I don't think that is the case with this one about money taking. The car isn't even in the state for the motor.
Let's just wait for the results. Posting for updates may help, but may not.
good luck! Happy Memorial Day.

Good question.
Ask most any machine shop this very question. I think we've all wondered this from time to time. LOL
Usually from amounts of work getting backed up. Darton is very popular so it makes sense I guess lol.
Dynosty (fwiw) had a super quick turn around. My short-block got done in like a week of actual work. It was there for 5 weeks or so, which included the down time from the block with a sleeve imperfection which required everything to be redone and waiting time on me to make a decision.
I did have that same block sitting in a machine shop for like 8 months only to find out the machine wouldn't go all the way down the bore (which made me go WTF you couldn't have told me that 7 months ago? ) but that's just how this field is. Race machinists all prioritize differently, and all work at different rates. They also get all different kinds of customers that want different kinds of things, so they need to juggle a bit differently than a specialty shop.
