Sick numbers vision. Those numbers are crazy high. Seems as if that injen intake really played a part. Congrats. Just curious what numbers you had before the reflash. IDK if he did it for you but for me he flashed it back to stock when i drove my car there, did a couple runs and got a baseline. Then he flashed it back and got a couple more rusn to get the final WHP as well as how much WHP I gained from the reflash.

He did two baseline runs with Intake and before re-flash and it was 293-295 I believe. And then I broke the 300 mark after the re-flash.

I haven't dyno'd since the reflash I got and I need to. It really makes a difference. If you're skeptical, they offer a 15 day? guarantee. Obviously, it's making huge gains on the HRs.

So are you sayign you got like 30whp from teh intake and like 6 from the reflash? BTW what did tadashi say about the design of teh injen CAI. All he todl everyone else was to swap in stocks. Did he like the design and believe it made power?

I doubt I gained 30whp with the intake. I can't really say for sure how much I gained. All he said was it wasn't as bad as some intakes he's seen, but I got the impression from him that he's not very fond of intakes for the HR. When he saw what I had and how it was set-up, he couldn't help but smile and laugh a little, like saying... oh something new and different. We did see minimal loss on hp between my dyno run and someone else's previous one he did with stock intakes when he did an overlay of the two. The loss was around the 3000 to 5000 rpm, but mine showed gain over the stock in high rpm and peak power.

If you look at my chart, the black line was the run before the re-flash. As you can see, I didn't gain much after the re-flash at the peak power level, but it does show gains throughout the powerband which, I feel, is more important. I was just glad that it topped over 300hp.

Visionz i'm sorry about what i siad about your injen intakes in the earlier theard about hydro-lock i was being stupid.

i was wondering If you could make a video of the thruttle reponse inside the cabin.
i also have an 07 5AT and really want to see if the reflash is worth it looking at the numbers

I'm probably not the right guy to do this for you, I just don't have the time nor the proper equipment to do a decent job of it. I'm sure someone will step up, someone always does.

Yours was done on a totally different dyno, correct?. Who knows what you might get with Tadashi's?

sounds about where it should be though, stock HR's seem to be putting down ~ 265 on dynojets, the ecu should be good for 10-15 and the test pipes/exhaust another 10-15, so that would put you around 285-295 which is right where you are. Intake probably isn't doing anything or might even be costing you a couple hp.

I'm curious why he says the stock intake will develop more power...

I love the sound of my stillen and if its only a few HP, then so be it, but if its more than that I may have to sell mine

if you have time to read through the whole thread in its entirety, you'll get your answer.

Potentially better flow velocity due to smaller diameter piping of the stock piping, or even air box resonance.

So ive got JWT dual intakes... would this be like the NISMO/Stillen intakes and decrease power as well? Seems like the injen CAI is the only intake that adds more power than stock...
