Tires and Wheels
Hey, noob here.
Looking at rims for my 04 performance. I have brand new 245-45-18 tires and am trying to fit rims with them. whats the biggest wheel I can fit on them?
I'm looking at 18x8.75 +20mm or 18x9.75 +20mm wheels right now. I'll be putting on Koni Yellows on after as well so i can adjust the ride height.
Any help is appreciated.

Your other thread asking specifically about Rotas and some other no name wheels didn't answer the same question that several people actually answered??
And Koni Yellows are single adjustable shocks and will do nothing for ride height.

Ok soooo what car is this for? If you have anything other than a base model Z your going to want to keep your tires staggered. 225 front 245 rear... For stock wheels... If your just looking to run stock sized tires I would suggest finding a used set of OEM wheels. They will be nicer than any garbage replica your planning to purchase.
The anniversary wheels are very nice, and if you can find track V1s for a good price they are a superior wheel.

OP
You can run a 9.5/10/10.5 inch wide wheel in back no problem. On a 225/45 tire for front you can run 8.5/9/9.5 no problem.
Look for offsets around (+12 - +22) the lower the offset the more poke a wheel might have.
Heres my 225/40 on an 9.5inch. I run a 235/40 in the rear for less stretch... & this amount of stretch is not unsafe.

Absolutely wont encounter any problems with a 225/40 yet alone a 45 series.. No amount of force givin by the z33's weight will the tire debead even at 35psi under load... Just my preference thats all.

Your preference doesn't mean it doesn't affect performance of tire. If you like rolling on stretched tires, more power to ya. All I'm saying is not to dish out bad advice to someone who admittedly doesn't know much on the subject.
If you look on tire rack, it has all the info there on min/max wheel sizes for each tire, assuming the tires you have are on tire rack. Just do a search, the click the little box to compare.

Arguable subject.
If op is looking for widest tire to fit on 245/45 , they would be fine with 9.5/10 inch wide wheels. I doubt performance is the goal, 18x8.75 +20 & 9.75 sound like xxr sizes. Look on tyrestretch.com if op has concern for level of stretch. More stretch will sacrifice safety and performance. Kudos

it also really depends what your goal is with the car. I wouldn't want to put alot of stretch on my daily. however people run far worse everyday with seemingly no problems.

9.5/10 inch wheel best fit = 275/
Here's some 10" wheels with 275/35"
and 8.5 with a 245/35, rears are 275/35 on a 9.5

So I was looking at xxr's but i dont want replicas. So i am now looking at Ambit wheels. They are 18x9.5 +15. My 245-45-18's should fit until i shred the last rubber off them, then upgrade the rears to 275's and keep the fronts at 245's correct?
