13.58 @ 103.14...Stock!!!
I went to Atco today (4/25) and ran an unbelievable time with my Z. Say what you want I personally don't care, Its on video and someone took pic's of the timeslip. I was shocked to read the slip myself. I don't have a scanner so I will write what the slip says and hopefully NY 350z will post it for me for all you haters. Btw I was up against a procharged Z in this race and was even until approx the 990 mark where he past me and pulled ahead. He ran a 13.1 @ 110mph. I should mention that I have stock 17's, i ran them with 27psi, the spare was in with all the mats, I had a 1/4 tank of gas. The only mod I have is that i put a used CAI I bought from my friend in yesterday, other than that my car is totally stock. I dumped the clutch at around 2k, and powershifted at 6200 rpm's. I only got two runs on the day, my first was a 13.66 @ 103.12 and the second was... Are you ready here goes; my slip reads as follows:
R/T .421
60' 2.075
330 5.791
1/8 8.803
mph 80.62
990 11.322
1/4 13.584
MPH 103.14
R/T .421
60' 2.075
330 5.791
1/8 8.803
mph 80.62
990 11.322
1/4 13.584
MPH 103.14

Thanks guys, I know its not totally stock but from what I've read and heard, a CAI doesn't do much, if anything at all for this car, except make it sound better. There were people there with many mods still running 14s. I honestly believe the time came from doing a good burnout before staging and powershifting, not the CAI. I wounder what it could do if I had a good set of tires and launched at a higher rpm, also taking out the extra weight from the trunk. Hope to get back at the track soon...it was fun, jus wish there weren't so many delays.

U definitaley have a fast car, Some are just quicker out of the box than others. You also know how to drive. I probably could be a hair faster to if I powershift but I still use the clutch. Just trying to save the trans a little more. Do you hear any grinding at all when you shify or is it too loud to hear???

When i say power-shifting i mean not letting my foot off the gas and shift using the clutch. If you do it fast enough, you won't bounce it off the rev limiter. I shift at the first line on the tach after the 6k mark. I think thats around 6200. I wanted to experiment and try to bring it up a little more but two runs wasn't enough. On the 13.5 run i brought it up more before shifting from 3rd to 4th, and still didn't hit the rev limiter. As for hearing grinding sounds, I did not hear anything. This tranny seems to be shifting smooth. Lets hope it stays like that.

so your r/t was a .421?? or do you mean a .921 if it was a .421 youd throw a red light since you left before the light (happens at .500) not to mention a 2.075 = a 8.8 1/8 and a 13.58 doesnt really add up too well. youd need a 1.9xn to get those numbers at least. and you claim to do this on street tires? i need to see this vid or slip to believe this.

now now children, play nice... If anyone should be at a disbelief it is me, who was there to witness it and who only did a tenth or so better with about 40 more hp. My excuse is clutch but that is besides the point. Also on time trials, the light doesn't mean anything... It is set at 0.

Captree is all the way east on ocean pkwy. Tobay is sort of in the middle of ocean pkwy. When ever we race over there we usually do a run around to make sure no ones hidden out. It should be okay if we go early (8-830). The cops usually come out as people start leavin captree between 10 an 11. If its nice Sat. during the day we'll do it than.
