Default NBA WTH are you doing about Carmelo??

Anyone find this amazingly out of character for the NBA to allow a player that got a DUI to play his next game? I am astounded that they haven't suspended him for that! They give Ivey 3 games for a groin punch, and they "expelled" Chris Andersen for doing drugs then they should certainly give Anthony 3-5 games for being an idiot and having a run in with the cops.

Rant done.. ugh.

If that's the case what should Kobe have gotten for the rape accusation? 50?

I am not a Lakers fan! I am a Mavericks fan - go look at my other posts for more information.

Did you watch last seasons playoffs and the Suns/Spurs rivalry? I think they were very liberal when they suspended those guys. 'Melo has had problems before and I think that should play heavily in what happens to hiim now.

I have an opinion on the rape stuff with Kobe, but I'll probably be called a Clippers fan if I answer that one.

Players have gotten DUI's with out being suspended by the league or their team. It has happened.

Plus on top of that he hasn't gone to court so the charges can still be dropped or reduced.

Haha this is funny b/c i did not know about this. But he is not above the law.

He got pulled over and his court date will be months down the road.

I love the American Legal System

OP your rant has no basis

Worse case scenerio his license is suspended for 3 months. There are to many scenarios for me give what could happen and what will most likely happen

Suspend the loser. It is amaxing to me how you never hear these sorts of stories about NHL players. Statsney another young Colorado athlete I just don't picture driving around at 4am drunk. Melo is a loser. And these thugs are a huge reason I have no respect for the NBA or its loser players.

AI is another. What a flopping little pansy. I have no respect for my own basketball team. We are led by somebody who does nothing but flop fouls, would rather complain to the refs than play D and another that is a drunk. Great people.

It depends on where you're standing. Now, I didn't know that there had been other players who had DUI's and hadn't been suspended. BUT, If you're trying to create an upstanding image for your league(NBA and NFL are and have been trying to do this) then you take someone's offcourt behaviour just as serious as you would their oncourt behaviour. It's just the way it works. Looking at how David Stern runs the show he should get something. I don't want it to ruin the playoff run for the Nuggets(b/c it'll be good), but I do think that it should be clear cut for all players and not selective.
