Wimbledon 2008

Anyone else enjoy watching the grass slam?

I was surprised to see Djokovic loose today in straight sets to Safin, hopefully he can keep it up.

Roddick looked pretty strong yesterday though he was taken to a tie break, but so was Nadal...

other than the Davydenko loss there haven't been any big surprises - the late rounds should fun to watch though.

Venus looked strong in her second set yesterday, is she can turn it on I wouldn't bet against her. I think the ladies singles are going to be exciting this week.

Who are your picks to win?

Yup. Im watching it. I think this year is going to be interesting. Nadal has really upped his game and Federer may not win as easily. The grass is also slower and that will give Nadal more chance of winning. My pick would still be Federer though.

^^ I know you got more than that to say...

Ivanovic is in trouble early here (she is uber secksy) EDIT: she just went down first set 6-1 to some Chinawoman

Roddick with the bad loss yesterday, and this was supposed to be his strongest tourny.

The Fed cruising through opponents with ease as usual on the grass...

And a tight match with Williams and Muressmo (williams just won a tiebreak for the first set)

There is an incredible championship match going on right now between the Fed and Nadal - in the fifth set after two intense tiebreak wins by Roger to force a fifth

True, he won Wimbledon 5 times in a row and it would have been nice to see him get it again. But it's OK because he has a chance to win the US Open 5 times in a row come this August.

VAMAS RAFA!!! i woke up at 6am to watch this match and i'm glad that i did. this was the best match i've ever seen. i almost had a heart attack when nadal couldn't break federer in the 3rd set when it was love-40. i almost cried when nadal couldn't close out the 4th set tie-break (had 2 championship points and was also up 5-2 in the breaker). today was a good day not just for tennis fans but for sports. first man in almost 30 years to win the french and wimby in the same here.
