Discs are pretty cheap, anywhere from $8-20, and they will last for a very long time(certain plastic does beat up rather quickly and the disc will not fly like new, but can be useful for certain shots) unless you lose them.

I've been playing for about 3 or 4 years now and try to go about 3 times a week with the exception of the 100+ days here in Tx. It's a great stress reliever and pretty amazing when you end up on a card with the stronger players. Just like ball golf, the old "drive for show, put for dough" holds true. I still only throw about 350-400 so longer holes (600+) I end up practically double driving. I can stand on a goal line and consistently put at least 8/10 discs through the opposite goal posts and my coworker consistently murders me with his putting because he is brutal within in 40-50 feet range.

I love this game but need to develop more shots.

I have been playing for about 5 years now. Such a great game to play and a good workout as well. I have like 30+ discs(one for just about every kind of shot).

I've been playing for about 3 years. It works out great because I'm horrible at actual golf but enjoy the game. Have any of you guys actually played in tournaments?

yep. thought I was teh sh!t too. Scored a 49 on a par 3 course, just to get my ass handed to me by people scoring 42-44. I just like to play for fun now(it is like playing with Tiger Woods when you enter a tournament).

Sounds like a fun game. This is a little off topic OP but shouldn't you have admin status here?

Currently, I use just a distance driver. I've broken even on the recent games I've played.
