Looks like fatigue played a big role in his demise. Doesn't really matter though because everyone knows he was the real champ.

Too bad i was out and missed the entire first round....

Although my hat's off to Hamilton, both for his performance, as well as what he overcame.

Screw the derby, I want to see more of Erin Andrews!!!!

I was rooting for Berkman but it was fun watching Hamilton put on a show.

I saw it live!! My girlfriend got me tickets for my birthday. It was absolutely awesome. The whole stadium was on its feet, cheering for hamilton!! For the people who don't know already, this guy was out of baseball for about 4 years (forgot the exact amount) with a severe drug addiction (i think it was coke). Now he's back in the major leagues breaking home run records in the derby. Amazing. Search and you will find a great comeback story...

About a month, to a few weeks before, the prices dropped a little for a few upper deck sections behind home plate. I wanted to be a bleacher creature, but they were rediculous for sitting in the bleachers. So we sat right behind home plate but in the first section of upper deck. We were able to see everything. Once in a lifetime experience.

JMS - so jealous you were there!

I went in 93 when Griffey hit the warehouse in B-More...it was incredible. I doubt the atmosphere was as good as it was last night though.

Snap any pictures??

I'm sure the allstar events will eventually make it to philly, baltimore, or even pittsburgh. If it does, snatch up some tix. The tix will be cheaper and you can make it a road trip with your buddies. Def. something you should do if you are a baseball fan. I'm going again if it comes to a city near close to us.

I didn't get any pics because my girl surprised me after work. She took me out to dinner and slipped the tix into the menu before i got there. Damn, i was sosurprised. So i wasn't prepared with a camera. I have some cell phone pics but none really worth posting up. It pays to have a girl who enjoys watching sports and better yet, likes the same teams you do.
