What are you guys predicting for the 09-10 NBA season whos gonna be MVP, and can Lebron actually get his 1st Ring? Oh yeah whos gonna win it all? just want some input. thanks
Lakers vs Celtics. The Celtics WILL be back if they stay healthy, and so will the Lakers. Cleveland needs more than just a one man show before they are a serious threat. And Howard needs to develop himself more offensively before they can win it all.
We all know these teams will most likely be at the top if they keep their players/or if they make good deals/sign good free agents:
Boston-Need healthy big three and one decent F/C addition to help Garnett
Orlando-Need to keep Turk and sign a good front court player
Cleveland-Need a starting center and another big guard/small forward who can score and defend (like Trevor Ariza)
LA Lakers-Need to keep roster or can trade one of the bottom rotation players in the 10-12th
Denver-Need another front court player that can score
These are things I would look for the teams to be contenders. We all saw their weaknesses in the playoffs.
Just for my own team the Wiz (I'm sure I'm talking to myself here), I hope we can bounce back, but Flip does not have has his kind of personnel. We've been hit w/ the injury bug the last few seasons w/ our trio of scorers (I'm now changing my mind that we should have never fired Eddie Jordan -- wasn't his fault).
We probably keep the trio (Gil, Jamison, and Caron) for the start of the season to see if we can get them on the floor at the same time. But if things don't turn around, at least one is gone by the trade deadline. We are stuck w/ Gil b/c of his new contract and his knee. As classy as Jamison is, we would probably try to move him. Tough Juice probably has the most value as a trade, but I hope we can keep him if Ernie and Flip do decide to shake things up.
yeah thats true too, but hey if he wants one more ring just like kobe got his fourth, he wants his 5th he just might have to cuz lebron can give him his 5th!
It's difficult to predict not knowing the outcome of the offseason (personell changes, etc.)... but if Cleveland lands Shaq, they're the favorites out of the East to reach the finals next year. Even then I still believe they're overmatched by the Lakers (assuming Trevor Ariza and Lamar Odom resigns).

I hope I never have to see "I can't feel my face" D'brick Stevenson ever again.
If they are able to get a true PF I think the Wiz will be sitting in the top 5 in the east next season. Jamison is listed as a PF but plays like a SG. He gets his points but his shot selection is horrible, his defense in non existant and his whole calling out the rookies during last season act made him tradeable in my book.

haha i think the best thing for cleveland to do is get shaq witha 1 year deal, and sign terkoglu if they can afford him then they will have a ring if not..... well have to wait and see. but i do think that this was proboboly kobes last ring!

Yah, he definitely wants one more ring to solidify his legacy. Not to mention, by doing this he would have played with the greatest guards of our generation and won a Championship with each.

Dude, you forgot about the Spurs. Every year people always leave them off the list and every year they always make the playoffs. This year Manu was injured but if he comes back healthy expect them to make some noise later on in the season like they always do.
