We were watching Sports Center cover Phil Jackson winning 10 championships. The question arose of which Professional team coach has the most national championships? Is he it now?
Google didn't come up with anything on the first few pages.

But that's college, so I'm thinking he has the most from the major American sports. I'm sure there's maybe a guy in a more obscure sport like rugby or cricket coach out there that we're leaving out though.
Red Auerbach has 16 rings...9 as a coach and 7 as the GM. here is neat little bit on info. In 1956 on draft day he traded for Bill Russell, drafted Tommy Heinsohn andf K.C. Jones, all three have them later coached the Celtics and getting a total of 6 championships between them.
If you dont mean only American I would consider Alex Ferguson
