Wow!!! He was only 36. I forgot that he retired a few years ago. Sad. A lot of retired football/basketball players get into financial problems and get into big time debt being used to an extravagant lifestyle they were living, and not bringing that kind of money in anymore when they were playing. Some reports are saying that it was a murder-suicide, but, it could also be a framed homicide, possibly from someone he owed money to.

Guys from TN, was it known he was having $ issues? He always seemed like a class act and a decent guy off the field. I remember watching college football with the update breaks about every 15 min. showing what he was doing at Alcorn St.

So far, looks like they were murdered from the facts that were revealed of the crime scene. Multiple gun shot wounds on McNair including the head, and one gun shot to the head of the lady. The 20 year old lady is a friend, Sahel Kazemi, (not his wife) who works at a local D&B's, and was pulled over for DUI in her Cadillac Escalade a few days ago, with McNair in the passenger seat.

Looks like murder/suicide to me since the weapon was found next to her body and she suffered only a single gunshot to the head.
Could have been arguing over the DUI she just got.....

Sounds like a good way to frame it as a murder suicide, too.
"Hey, let's kill them both but shoot her once and leave the gun next to her like she killed herself after killing him."

All kinds of ways to figure that out if it's bogus. No powder residue on firing hand, bullet trajectory, blood splatter, etc.

Read no signs of forced entry and a single to her and multiple to him. I am betting murder/suicide....

It was reported as a murder-suicide at first, and then changed to a double homicide. I assume they checked for those things you listed already, and reassessed the situation. Either way, there seems to be a lack of information.

It's sad to hear. He was in one of the best superbowls when they were a couple yards short of beating the Rams. From the pic above looks like he had a fling. I bet her lover shot him and her and framed it as a hom/suicide.

It seems like depending on the entry of the bullet(s) would really determine if it was a suicide versus a murder. I honestly don't think it was a suicide, nothing in this case sounds right, but that's just my opinion.

they've been together for 4 months so probably at least something going on.

I'm betting a murder suicide though. The police isn't looking for suspects right now, usually there's at least something they are looking for by now.
