Ive known Roddick thru out my whole tennis career, we are good friends ever since. Honestly thought he was going to be killed, but he has stepped up his game. He has a chance.
Two badass Wimbledon finals in a row. I was hoping for Andy to upset Roger this year like Rafael did last year.
I liked how Roger said Andy can win it next year after losing this time like Roger just did today..."but you won the five before that one." LOL!
Ha yeah typical Andy humor through it all. I really felt for him though, he has been playing the best tennis of his life the past couple of weeks (what a match against Murray!) and he has a lot to be proud of. Not many people pegged him getting anywhere near that far.
If his game keeps maturing he will win a couple more slams before his career is over.
An interesting side note though, I wonder if the Fed would have needed a couple more years to get his 15 had Nadal not been injured. After Paris you could see the door open for Roger and he has followed through obviously, but I bet he would have wanted the best player in the world to be in the field when won today.
Fed is insanely consistent. No one gives him credit for his incredible heart because he's so silky smooth, but he just kept playing on. Hope Rafa comes back healthy because w/ Roger's confidence back and the "all-time" pressures off his shoulder, we should be in a treat if these two match up again.
And I really hope Roddick wins one soon. It's amazing how much better he's gotten and he was this |-| close to winning Wimbledon.
How depressing is it when you were only broken ONCE the entire match and still lose.... Andy showed grit, he should have closed out the 2nd set when he was up 6-2 in the tiebreak. He could have folded like a lawn chair, but dug in and played an excellent 4th and 5th set.

Very depressing!
Andy couldnt have played any better and he still couldnt beat Roger. It was about as tough of a loss as you could have. I really felt for the guy, he looked like he was on the edge of tears.
I will go ahead an assume Federer is going to win the US Open this year like he always does, putting him at 16 wins. I believe he said he will retire at this point right?

joking right? he's already said he's going to play for quite a few years still.
