So I'm going through some boxes and desk drawers and find a whole slew of different kinds of NFL cards (Topps to name one of them) and baseball cards. I know that some of them were my dads from when he was a kid and was passed on to me. I've also got cards that I have no clue how I got them. Anyway, I don't really get into collecting cards like that. I remember selling a bunch of them years ago to a coworker who paid me $200 or something like that for a bunch of old baseball cards.
Question now is what's the best way to sell these? I've looked at ebay to gauge interests and pricing, but there's so much to look at and sift through that I quickly lose interest.
I guess my best or first option is to make a complete list of what I have and go from there. What do you guys suggest? Should it be compiled by card brand, then sport, then year, then player name? I'm a little overwhelmed with this, but I know there are serious collectors out there.
Just as an example, I found a Topps card for Bernie Kosar. Also have a few baseball greats like Steve Garvey.

Even though I'm probably old enough to remember some of the athletes, I don't know all of them and wouldn't know how significant they are in the sports world. I once met Ozzie Smith back in 95 or 96 and had no idea who he was.
Mods, if this is in the wrong section, please move it to the appropriate one. This is not a for sale thread.
