#16 Oregon @ #14 Boise State
#13 Georgia @ #9 Oklahoma State
#20 BYU vs #3 Oklahoma
#5 Alabama vs #7 Virginia Tech
and of course..
Western Michigan @ MICHIGAN
GO BLUE!!
Right there with you Bro...watching game one on ESPN....but to make sure this thread is THE thread....change the title. Put football in there somewhere....Maybe "The Official NCAA College Football Thread" or something like that, otherwise you're competing with the other NCAA sport threads .
BTW, Oregon/Boise St is the late ESPN game and I'm taking Boise State.
(Michigan is done. Rodriguez better get by the Broncos or he's gonna be shown the door before the season starts. That guy is done anyway given his team's mutiny to the Free Press.)

Blount is a thug. Nice Game Boise St. Again Blount is a thug and needs to be taken out for at least two games.
I really expect him to get alot more than 2 games for that. The other guy really didn't need to be provoking him.....but I think they'll really crack down on him for that. Especially since it was nationally televised.
Blount got what he deserved, suspended for the rest of the year. They should yank his scholarship for that ghetto ass sucker punch or just "trade" him to UM

Wouldn't really have classified it as a "sucker punch", though, because Hout should have expected that kind of reaction with his bush-league antics. He didn't just mouth off at Blount, he came into physical contact with Blount just to talk trash to his face.
Per Petros' dad, "When you lose, say nothing. When you win, say even less." Hout's a moron.
Still, Blount shouldn't have reacted that way, and, yeah, he may be out for the rest of the season, but at least he won't be viewed over and over again on youtube/espn/foxsports being dropped like a sack of $#!t with one punch (that's Hout's deal now ).

Yep, with you there. Hout slapped Blount on the grill and rubbed in his performance but that trash talking happens after EVERY game from pop warner on up.
Blount expected this to be a break out game but he really didn't perform at all. So he was already ticked then Hout went over the edge when he slapped him on the helmet/shoulder and said what he said (which was probably you lost yards and didn't gain yards).
But what I'll remember is Hout going down. That was funny as ish.
If you guys don't think that was a ghetto sucker punch, IMO you're wrong. Try watching the whole video that ESPN aired. Hout talked some trash and patted/hit Blount on the shoulder pads. Then comes the sucker punch. If you're going to fight then square up with the guy, everything else is sucker punching. The punch knocked Hout down, but he got back up. I guess Blount doesn't have what it takes to knock someone out.
Also what about him pushing and throwing a punch at one of his own players who was trying to calm his stupid ass down. Then he wants to go after someone in the stands. The punk is a 3 time loser

No question, I think Blount was outta control, especially roughing it up with his teammates and then trying to go after folks in the bleachers (what was that all about?). He's either emotionally unstable or he's raging on 'roids (or both). In any other situation (like at a bar), he could have been arrested.
I hope that punch was worth it to him because it looks like he sacrificed his NFL career with that one move.
I think my point is that everyone in the media is focusing on Blount but few are considering Hout's role in all this. At the time Hout slapped him on the pads and wheeled him around to garbage-talk, Blount was on his way off the field. The guy was just walking away. Why not let him go?
Hout's a fool. He was like, "Hey, blah, blah, blah, blah, you lost, you suck," turned his head for a split second, and then POW! Down he goes. Why talk trash to someone and then turn your head? Stay and look him in the eye. Mean it. Stand up to/for your trash. Was he foolish enough to think that he could just scurry away after some crap-@$$-move like that?

Remember Darrin Hambrick?

Oh yea...he's an idiot too. Spurrier booted his ass off the team and rightfully so. Hambrick is in alot more trouble now and more than likely going to prison for violating his probation after beating his girlfriend senseless.
It all starts in the home guys....raise your children with a stern hand and teach them to respect others.
Carroll's system is awesome. That entire team made an 18 year old true Freshman look pretty good. That is a good team (I know it was San Jose St., I'm merely talking about how little time it took for USC to click on all cylinders).

Barkley didn't really have to do much. Obviously against and inferior team he looked good. But, notice most of the passes Barkley threw were mostly to a receiver that was standing in place. I didn't see him throw a with a receiver on the move. They rolled him out on bootlegs a lot to give him more time. Ohio State will try to contain him and probably get more penetration on the SC o-line.
SC, similar to the 2003/2004 team will hang their hat on defense. I expect Bates (the OC) to run, a lot, then get Barkley moving with easy pass plays. I expect the Defense to put a spy on Pryor and bait him to throw in to coverage. SC's defensive backfield is great, even without Wright.
That game at Ohio State is going to be awesome!
FIGHT ON TROJANS!!!!

Completely concur. I could have been the QB! (well not really, but we didn't see his supposed arm let loose.)
I'm looking forward to next week given what problems OSU had today. (BTW, Carroll just really prepares his squad.) awesome ish.
