Function Auto? Do you mean Fortune Auto? Fortune Auto is just another Taiwanese coilover company that's being marketed by some folks here in the USA. No different than Megan, BC, some Apex'i, some Buddy Club, D2, Function&Form... And a ton of others.
I'm not saying that all those products are junk or anything. Some of them are actually great for the money. The problem is that the US companies doing the marketing rarely have much control over the manufacturing, so when the factory in Taiwan changes something or has supply issues, the marketing company ends up with those problems. This can make getting replacement parts (like shocks) very hard. Tein is Tein. They control their manufacturing directly and have been around much longer than the Taiwanese companies/US marketing companies.

In the end, I decided that Fortune was a brand we'd like to carry and so far we've had a great relationship with them. I stressed the USA assembly and support of the Fortune products in my original post in this thread for a reason. Fortune Auto has worked hard to make sure that they avoid issues like what I mentioned in that other thread. Even looking at my old post, you can see that I never stated anywhere that Fortune Auto was a bad product.
If anyone has any further questions about this, feel free to contact me directly as I'm not on this forum too often. I can be reached via email at mattc@vividracing.com. Also, take a look at the About Us page on Fortune Autos website, and go look at the pics in the 1st post of this thread. Fortune assembles their products here in the USA and maintains a large amount of stock materials/supplies.
