Yes, David, keep us posted. I would like to make the next trip out to MSR. I want to see just how slow I really am.

So what tires do you guys use, your expensive street tires? Just curious!

As a first-timer, I wouldn't worry about tires too much.
First, you're not going to ruin your street tires...just wear'em in a bit (especially the outer edges ).

Your main concern should be learning to "drive the line" and proper braking technique. Trust me...anybody can go fast...but it gets pretty exciting when you realize that you can't control all that speed when you go into your first corner, HOT !

Speed is irrelevant without control. The speed comes with time and experience.
Gryphen is at the stage where he can start being concerned about tires (I'm so proud of him )

I had no idea it had that kind of history! That is very impressive. I hope this means that we could get to see some of the older Z's? I have a fetish for 260z's but no one seems to drive them much anymore.

This looks promising. I will definitely check into this more.

Btw, Thanks ZCarDave!

Hi, check out the website, main page, to the right. There's a link to a map as well.
http://www.zclubofhouston.com

Here's a quote from the site:
The Z Club of Houston will hold MONTHLY membership meetings.

Membership meetings will be held the third Tuesday of each Month at 7PM.

Membership meetings will continue to be held at Hickory Hollow, 101 Heights Blvd., Houston, Texas, corner of Center and Heights Blvd.

That's on I-10 west of downtown, go south on heights blvd, and it's right there on the right.

Z U There ;-)

I'll be there, and Z Car Dave has sent out an email to all of his peeps asking us to make a big showing. There's quite a few new members, and we owe it to them to all be there.

So come on Club, let's be a Club and pack the place this Tuesday and have a blast...

PS: Good to see you at our forums as well
