As mentioned a few times before (by various members), the Z Club of Texas is hosting a 1 day DE at Hallett on September 7.
For the North Texas folks, Hallett is really a fun track that's not as "stressful" as MSR to beginners (IMO). It's got the right amount of straights and turns so it's perfect for the 350z.
The DE is inexpensive ($120) and it's a great way to see what the track junkies are raving about. Details and registration are on http://www.zcluboftexas.org
This event is open for all makes and models (I think some of the LS-1 guys are gonna come out and play again) so please pass it on.

Spectators are welcome (especially if you can take some really good pics ). And if you bring along a helmet, then some instructors will be more than happy to take on passengers in their sessions. It would be fabulous if you participate, but if you just want to see how it's like first, then that's better than nothing.
For beginners, IIRC, ZCOT will have a "tech session" on July 26 at Bobby Archer's race shop in Ft. Worth on how to prepare you and your car for the track.
Michael.
Also, the nearest (and recommended) lodging accommodations to Hallett is in Sand Springs, OK (just west of Tulsa). Or, you may be able to camp out at the track (just do no rain dance).

Boomer, there is not a published schedule as yet, but typically, folks show up at 8 a.m. to begin tech in preparation for dividing into groups to begin track time. HTH
I posted the invite to ls1.com and a couple of members will be attending.
As an added bonus, a ZCOT/Hallett regular will probably be attending in his new SRT-4. Embarassingly enough, he was able to outdrive quite a few ppl last year in a Hyundai Accent on r-compound so it oughta be interesting to see what he can do w/ 100+ extra hp.
