All that money putting into VQ adds up really quick and you won't get anything in return selling the car later on. Get a 2003+ Viper or C6 Z06, 2008 M3 less than $40K lol. But it sure does feels good to have my Z paid off, no more payments; but I have the urge to sell it and buy something ever since I paid it off. I don't want anymore car payments though sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

I don't plan on selling it for those very facts; 1) It's already paid off. 2) Already spent so much on modding it. And after working on C5/C6 Vettes I know I DON'T want one of those. Pus my wife & I are trying to start a family so it's "smarter" to finish my Z off verus buying another coupe. Hench my interest in the GT-R and CTS-Z. I think in the long run this will be smarter.

Haha. Good to see you're wanting to keep your Z Robert. Haven't heard much from ya in a while. Course, I'm not on this site much.

I haven't been on any forums except for BoostedImports.com & HoustonPerformanceDriving.com. Too much drama for me. LOL But ya was seriously considering getting a new GT-R. If I wasn't trying to start a family I think I would have. But Guess I'm getting older and more mature. LOL So yeah... Hopefully I'll start building the Z. How you been? We should get a meet going for my next R&R, March (fingers crossed). Anything new in Houston? I haven't kept up since I left in May.

Work has been crazy for me. I've been driving all over the country. That's about it... Modding as I can. Hanging out when I can.

Hey I've been in your place. I blew by build block and wanted to sell the car cheap and get something new. I just finished paying off my G35 and don't want another payment. Plus so much work that I personaly put in the the car. I'm keeping it and rebuilding now. Every one tells me to just sell it.

Yeah... Honestly my wife really wants me to get the GTR. But I can't justify doing a year in Iraq and only show a car for it. Think building my VQ is a smarter choice. Cause I for damn sure I'll want to mod the GTR and that 10 times more expensive than a Z car!

Save your money on the cosworth fuel rails and just get the CJM stage 2 system and substitute the aeromotive pump. The CJ has all the misc parts you will need that nothing else comes with.

Add one to your clutch or flywheel purchase for a cheap upgrade.

+1

charles includes every last thing you need. The stage 2 also gets rid of the tiny stock hard pipe that is a restriction. The new fuel rails with CJM also have 2 fuel dampers from the OEM HR setup so very smooth fuel supply.

other than that the setup sounds sweet.

GTR would be sick but look at what you can get out of your car plus the amount you would put in. From all that stuff it looks like about 15k$ and a used 350z (even boosted) would probably pull 15-17k right now on this market. Not enough to get a GTR outright (especially not new one). Then you look at the cost increase of maintenance and insurance rates.

Most people never look at all the facts and just think they can trade their old 350z straight up for only a little more cash to get a new gtr. Not the case. I think you are doing a good job at looking at all the angles.

Thanks. And I am doing the CJM over the Cosworth. +1 on viewing all the angles. To be honest I just didn't want; 1) a car payment 2) a car payment that high! Plus I know I couldn't keep it stock! So rather just continue with the Z.

Robert ditch the cosworth fuel rails and run the cj motorsports stage 1...i am running the cosworth fuel rails + cj motorsports stage 0 (modified to work with the cosworth) and it just makes more sense to go for the cj kit.

Well good news and bad... Today I will be ordering the long block. However I was informed that I can't take my R&R in March. No TX2K12... No Texas Mile... No celebrating my 10th Wedding Anniversary at home with my wife. Hopefully I'll be home in April now. Almost a full year from seeing the States. Any events in April?
