Default Anyway to beat an Expired Inspection Ticket?

I think if you get the car inspected within 3 days of the ticket they throw it out. Anyone ever use a good excuse for this one?

Is there a penalty if I do not get an inspection?

You cannot renew your vehicle registration. Inspection stations electronically send a record of all emissions inspections to the DMV. The DMV must have a record that your vehicle passed an emissions inspection during the previous year. Keep the receipt of your emissions inspection sticker to prove that your vehicle was inspected.
You can receive a fine. If the inspection sticker on your vehicle has expired in the past 60 days, you can receive a fine of $25 to $50. If the inspection sticker is expired more than 60 days, the fine is between $50 and $100. If there is no inspection sticker, the fine is between $50 and $100. Mandatory state surcharges of up to $55 are added to the fine.
You can receive a parking ticket. A parked vehicle with no inspection sticker, or with an expired inspection sticker, can receive a parking ticket.
so guess what, you are paying the ticket.

Typical New Yorker attitude. Always trying to get away with stuff and then getting bent out of shape when someone suggests that they help themselves.

How about, oh, I don't know, GETTING YOUR INSPECTION DONE ON TIME? It's a revolutionary concept, I know.

Hmmm, I read that one before and it doesn't say anything from people's past experiences in beating an inspection ticket. Any excuses or tricks they used. Also thanks for recommending google.com, I never heard of those guys, they seem pretty good. I'll tell me friends!

I don't know of any tricks or excuses, so to speak, but in Texas if you get your car inspected before your court date you can bring in the receipt and the judge will dismiss it. It's called a fix-it ticket in Texas...

Possible that the reason why this guy didnt get his inspection renewed is bc he knows his car wont pass (eg illegal tint, test pipes...)

and i dont know why everyone is freaking out over his response.

the guy asks an honest question. a guy has nothing better to do than be a smartass and respond with a ******** answer, then the OP decides to let that guy know he is being a ***** bastard. i dont see anything wrong with that. there has to be some consequence for people on this forum who decide to be ***** bastards instead of helpin people out.

granted the OP should have done a search, but there was no need for smartass responses.

I don't help those who don't / won't help themselves. I really think I use a fair system.

To the OP: you got pwnd. It was good.
