Default Finger Funk site is back online!

Hey everyone!

After receiving a few PMs asking what was wrong with our site and if it's coming back up, I decided to make a post and let everyone (who was following us and our sets) know that we are back online, with more new sets. So if you are in need to refresh your collection with new (and not so new), but tastefull and skillfully mixed electronic music (progressive/electro/tech house and breakbeat) feel free to visit us at the new site:

www.fingerfunk.org

We are currently working out a few perks, but hopefully sometimes next summer Finger Funk will go LIVE, so you'll be able to see and hear us live at the club near you. Also I am back into production and working on a progressive breaks track at the moment.

For those who don't know who "Finger Funk" is here's a little info about us:

~ Finger Funk was created as a pastime endeavor. We love electronic music, namely, breaks and progressive house. We enjoy the scene wherever we can catch it, and are into the online electronic music culture on websites such as hybridized.org.
~ As we got into the scene more, we began messing around with mixing and production. With mixing specifically, we did it partly due to what we felt was a lack of well mixed sets with top notch track selections. As we began to share our own sets with others, this became our standard: a set is not worth making unless it has a top notch, fresh tracklist, and smooth, quality mixing. We hope our current lineup of mixes shows just how committed we are to achieving this.
~ We currently mix mainly on Pioneer CDJ1000 CD players, but we started out on turntables like most. Most of our sampling and looping is done digitally, but a few effects we do live via mixer. As this is a hobby for us, we have not heavily invested in equipment, but this may change if we decide to get into this more heavily.
~ A bit about us personally. We were both born in Russia, and later moved to the US. Art Oster is currently living and working in Maryland, as well as enjoying the DC scene. Spinhead is an engineering graduate student, currently studying in Georgia, and also enjoying the local scene.

Thanks guys and I hope you'll enjoy our music!

Thanks again for the update Art, and again, thanks for all the great music.

Just my two cents: Vibrations is your best work. Of the newer stuff, 'All Wheel Drive: Part II' and 'Only a Test' are my favorites...In fact, I may like one or both of those better than Vibrations. iTunes of course tracks play counts:I've listened to Vibrations 48 times...and it's over an hour long. Fantastic stuff.

I guess that says I prefer the House mixes to the Breaks.
Make more tracks like the three above! I've gotten two or three friends listening to your stuff now, and I live just an hour south of you, and am in Baltimore for concerts and stuff frequently...so play there and let me know when, and I'll be there!

Vo, Rusty Tears is a pretty interesting set... I kinda went a little minimal at first, but it picks up the enrgy towards the end.. the Together and Same Old Scene tracks at the end are just amazing.

cyan, thanks for listening, bro! I was just talking to one of my friends the other night about Vibrations.. the set is definately awesome!

Thanks for listening, guys!

Well, I'm a little old I'm told for Myspace, but I have both Facebook and Myspace. For me living 3000 miles from home, they are tools to keep in touch with friends, AND I have made new friends who share the same interests as I do, namely House, Electronica, Techno, Rave music, etc. I don't know, talk to your fellow Fingerfunk creators see what the concensus is. Would definately get your music out there to the masses.

Yes, get a myspace. I have another friend who, like yourself, is releasing his music free (done two albums so far) and he advertises it on his myspace page.

Having fans put you on their friends list will just get you some free exposure. You can put the player on your page too, so that visitors hear some of your stuff.

I've looked for you guys on MySpace/Facebook on several occasions, and have always been surprised you never made a page, considering it's just free exposure.

Vibrations is sick! Most of our sets are pretty good, the recent one Rusty Tears and Need Me are awesome!

the other site is www.hybridized.org - a bunch of sets from most of the prog/tech/electro house/breaks producers and djs.. when you go to Forums, go to the Members Mixes section, there are some gems there as well. We post there all the time.

www.bijoubreaks.com - great site for breakbeat info, news and sets.

www.progressivehouse.com - another awesome site for prog house.

www.protonradio.com - Most popular radio, tons of great djs play live on there.

www.danceradio.gr - another great net radio.

I'm glad you posted this. Especially since my work server blocked XM and Youtube recently. I've been streaming audio from your site now, all day.

Sweet mixes. I love them!!!!
