Default A great way to Jack your vehicle.. actually very smart..

[Car Exhaust Jack Lifts Your Car Up]

check this out, i dunno if this will work on our 350z with dual exhaust, but,

easy and fast way to jack your vehicle, only if you dont have a crazy side skirt!

what ya'll think?

-edit: actually the picture on the top (BMW X5) has dual exhaust, and it still works... i guess..

not a bad idea, but like the guy said, i wouldn't trust myself being under that thing, or having it fail on me for any reason.

unless you are going to run your car at 8000 RPM its not gonna fill up...

plus, will probably melt what ever rubber hose they have hooked up...

the hose is not even inflated coming rite off the pipe...

re-post... waste of time... BS concept...

go put your hand on your exhaust tip...

Firefighters use airbags to lift multi-ton section of concrete in collapsed buildings. They used many after 9/11. The concept is sound. I don't know if I trust the quality of this particular unit. Either way, there's no reason why you you couldn't use a jackstand to secure it after lifting with the bag.

thats fine yes you can use air to lift up... from a compressor putting out thousands of PSI or even Hundreds...

but not a car exhaust...

with the catalytic converters on there alone it drops the amount of pressure coming out of the exhaust...

Incorrect. Low pressure lifting bags work at 7.25 psi and lift up to 16 tons. Medium bags work at 15 psi. High-pressure bags work at 90 to 145 psi. To calculate the lifting capacity of a bag...

L x W x internal air pressure.

If the bag is 36" and round (as the one pictured appears to be), it's lifting surface is 1017 sq.in. At 10 psi, it'll lift a maximum of 10170Lbs. At max height, that's roughly cut in half, so about 5000Lbs.

Don't know if a car exhaust is going to put out 10 psi, but a regular home compressor will... Even a bicycle tire pump can put out 10 psi. You don't need thousands or even hundreds of psi.

WOuldn't this stress the engine having to push a decent amount of pressure?

That bag has to be VERY thick and strong...

I wouldn't trust it.
