Gonz nice job bro but I would have concerns over your structural design for supporting the weight of the fish tank. Your load right now is on the screws and not the plank the way you have it designed.

At least from the angles I saw.
I just know its worth double checking because I went through the same thing building mine.

To eliminate all the confusing regarding the support for the fishtank, I whipped this out in MS paint.

I worked with structural engineer on daily basic so they do tend to put an emphasize on things such as this.

@ Netko, maybe you can help me understand how you did yours for $400+ in material. Your sink with a decent set of faucet alone is around $150+, that would leave you with $250+ which doesn't even look enough to cover all the cabinets, or maybe I'm missing something?

@ Cridda and Davids, once I'm done we're gonna have a bro-fest for the morning crew over the fish tank!!!

As far as lightings goes, I got 3 pendants that will be hung across the bar, they look smiliar to these.
Beside lighting from the fishtank I will also have another surprise that I"ll leave for the final pics.

Granted the overal dimension of the project isn't that great, but it is perfect for me b/c it's a project that I did entirely on my own by myself. This particular corner used to be wasted space but I now can finally make some use of it. Countertop is scheduled to be here by the 19th, I should have finaly pics of everything by that weekend.

GonZ I said it was about $400 for just the BAR materials not what is behind it. Total cost for the entire basement was about $20k.(i farmed out some of the BS work).

Oh ok lol, that's what I missed, but you're right, the bar by itself isn't too bad, the sink, plumping and little things here and there are the one that added up.

1) click on reply
2) scroll down to the bottome and click on "Manage Attachments"
3) go to the folder which you have your pictures saved in.

Voila! Simple as one two three.
