So, I've been wheel shopping for a few days now--saving up for about a year--and was going to go with Volk GTS in Merc Silver but was a day late. Evidently, one of you scallywags hopped on them before I could. Which was probably for the best since I had just enough for the rims and would've had to save up for a few additional months for the tires and mounting. Although I got the "green-light" from the Missus, I felt guilty about breaking that much bread on a set of wheels, albeit, Volks.
I was roaming through the wheels/tires section looking for the "right" wheel set up for me. I wanted a silver-ish wheel, in 19" with aggressive but not "froggy-ridiculous" offsets and they had to be TPMS compatible. I'm pretty **** and the orange light would have driven me insane. Banding is out of the question because I drive with my young son in the car sometimes and don't want to gamble. The "adaptors" would have been too much of a hassle for me and may have driven me beyond a conscionable price-range.
I've been PM'ing Dan from WHEELDUDE about the P45s in 19" but changed my mind when I saw the Linea Corse Dyna. He broke down the differences between the two wheels for me and the Dyna is just too awesome to pass up. He gave me a fair price on the wheels and on some blue lug nuts. He also, was kind enough to hook me up with a tire/wheel shop that will swap out my TPMS from my OEM rims (for sale in the Private Marketplace by the way http://my350z.com/forum/wheels-tires...-area-sac.html) and got a quote for me. After all the frustration of trying to find consistent information on wheels, I found solace with WHEELDUDE. They were professional, courteous, and best of all--knew about the rims they carried! Thanks again, Dan!
So, I'm off to have them installed a week from next and will update you guys with pics and honest impressions!

Are you? All that BS and no pics of the car? Not that it would really be the right section then. I wonder if you explain every event in your life with this great detail lol
I woke up at 6:32am, and knew that today was going to be the day I thought about possibly changing my mind on which wheels to get even though I know I'm definitely getting some wheels today I'm serious. I think that after I brush my teeth and wait about 10 minutes for the toothpaste taste to leave my mouth I might have some toast with blackberry jelly on it and maybe peanut butter too maybe not. When I was headed to the kitchen I felt myself drawn to the computer so I hooked a left at the bathroom and went straight to the office because that is where I keep my computer and some books and some other stuff too I have a nice desk. So I get online and check ......
he was just giving his review on one of the best venders on the site imo. he is super friendly, even when I was asking him retarded *** questions prior to knowing much about wheels.

I'm sorry If words scare you. I guess I can be over-analytical. But then again, you didn't have to read it all...did you?! If you didn't like what you read the first two sentences, those are groups of words separated by periods [.], then you could have just stopped reading.
Wheeldude hooked me up with some nice Rota Torques after a tire installation disaster on my short-lived Work's. Enjoy your new wheels - sounds like a great choice for your budget.

Well, I didn't read it all. I did say there were too many words. And I stick to my story.

Right on, man thanks. After a being on here a while I've come to expect the usual "hater" crowd. I've a thick skin.
Honestly, I can kind of see where they're coming from. I mean they break $3-4k on wheels (alone) and see some that look almost just like them on another car for 1/2 the price and feel they must justify their purchase. I don't road race and love the look of split-7s. The price is right, offsets are right, the diameter is right, they are TPMS compatible, and their weights aren't bad. I mean what's up with $3k rims that have to be ghetto banded with pipe straps, plywood, and 3M tape for TPMS (which are required by law for all 2006+ cars)? For those of you who are not obsessed with brands, these are fine wheels for a great price and service better than those that sell "top shelf" wheels.
In shopping around, I've had two vendors tell me that Volk GTS' take TPMS with no modification; one that swore on his grandmother that they could not take TPMS no matter what; and another say that the plywood/3m tape/pipe strap banding method would be the only solution. And finally, one vendor replied to my email inquiry with, "what's TPMS?" When asking for offsets, one vendor replied with only, "they have 2-inch lips." WTF? Most have answered the phone like you were calling their house; and another made a verbal agreement with me--although with no money deposited on my behalf--to hold the rims for two days but sold them the morning after I called. To entrust a $3k purchase to vendors without so much as a modicum of professionalism to stand by their "word" or know if an expensive rim they sell is TPMS compatible concerns me.
BTW, don't worry guys I won't be putting a "Volks" sticker on them so have no fear.
