Default How to tell if an orange is old/spoiled?

I'm having a brain fart, and I feel it should be obvious, but please help me.

So I found an orange near the back of my fridge's drawer. I dunno how long it's been in there, but I've eaten a couple slices already. I'm thinking there should be discoloration, possibly mold, and a bad taste, right?

It's just softer than usual and tastes sweet, but has a different kind of aftertaste.

Safe to keep eating?

Pic doesn't matter

It was just a picture of a random orange, not the one in question.

It does have a different taste, though. Not just the sweet orange taste, but a funny taste that I can't describe.

Keep eating?

if you get some sort of food poisoning or sickness from it, it was probably a bad orange, and should have stopped eating it.

hmm, that sure is a mysterious looking orange. Maybe if you eat it all, you'll get high or something. On the other hand you could get food poisoning like m!ke said, which would kinda suck.

Or maybe it's a super orange because it's been in the fridge so long and hasn't spoiled. Maybe if you eat, it'll give YOU superpowers. Like having a super boner for 7 hours. Imagine how many chicks would wanna bang you on that fact alone?

If the orange was bad, you feel it in the morning. You will be fine.

Harmful? Absolutely not. Worst case scenario you're looking at is the ***** in the morning.

if it is a super-orange, you will probably gain the ability to taste a little odd, and change your skin color to orange.

Leave it next to a wounded raisin, when you return, if the raisin has gone you know the orange is up to no good. If the raisin is better, the orange must have helped him, so it's still a good'n.

I've eaten some fairly old oranges in my day. Maybe two weeks old. I never had any problems as long as it wasn't moldy. I've never kept oranges n the fridge though.
