Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader Caught Up In Halloween Costume Controversy...
Heard about this on the radio this morning. Apparently she went to a Halloween party dressed as Lil Wayne. She's catching all kinds of hell for the use of black body paint. What's yall's take on it?

DALLAS -- A Dallas Cowboy cheerleader's Halloween costume is drawing more jeers than cheers.
KTVK-TV
Second-year cheerleader Whitney Isleib, left, attended a friend's Halloween party dressed as rapper Lil Wayne.
Whitney Isleib, originally from Friendswood, dressed as rapper Lil Wayne for a friend's Halloween party -- complete with black face and body paint.
Photos that popped up on Facebook were leaked to a sports blog, according to KTVK-TV in Dallas.
Some fans at the Cowboy's game against the Seahawks Sunday thought the costume was in poor taste.
"Assuming you would hold yourself up to a little bit higher standards, especially playing for the Cowboys," said Richard Vasquez. "Not much I can say about that one. It speaks for itself."
Other fans thought it was all in good fun.
"If she wasn't a Dallas cheerleader would it really matter? It's Halloween, you know. you get to go how you want to go" says fan Laura Pyhrr.
No one from the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders or the team would officially comment, but a team spokesman told us the team is aware of the situation and addressing it internally.

I'm okay with it (keep in mind I'm not black). She dressed as a specific individual...not as just "a black guy." Had she not worn the body paint, the costume wouldn't have made as much sense. She's pretty hot, though, as are most Cowboys cheerleaders.

Well, I hope she enjoyed her time as a cheerleader... it a shame that more people arent aware of the historical neg. connotation associated with blackface...

Thats the only reason why I might think of it as being ok...

Its all about CONTEXT.....was this done in malice or an attempt to be racist? I think not. Those who get offended by this, I feel bad for. They are raising an issue to raise an issue. Its all of this PC-ness in America today that have ruined things.

Agreed.

I can also see the validity in this statement also. However, given this day and age, many younger generation are not aware of the historical connotation behind the "black face" as it was used in the early part of the 19th century. Here's an example of how the paint was used decades ago for those that are unaware...

Who gives a sh!t. Anyone ever see the movie White Chicks? The Wayans Brothers painted their skin white. This cheerleader went as a celebrity for Halloween and paints her skin brown and it becomes a big problem.
Btw her styrofoam cup isnt the right size, he usually has the huge ones. it just goes to show that she actually likes him enough to know that he always has the cup with him.
and that lady on the right dressed as a pirate has got one nice freakin smile, looks like a damn commercial for colgate. iwouldstabinaheartbeat.....
I like it when girls dress in something sexy for halloween. Her intent was not to be a racist so I dont see the issue, I just wish she would have picked a more sexy costume.

And the sad part is... some guy would probably be weird enough to tap it with her dressed like that
