Default Wiring Installation AEM Wideband

I am in the middle of installing my wideband, I am stuck, I dont have the wiring diagram.

All of the colored wires are installed, I now have a black, white and a red wire left. I know that the black is the ground, the red is switch power, what is the white for?

Recently installed one myself... For a stand alone gauge, you only need to use 2 of the wires--

*The (RED) one for power.
*The (BLACK) one for ground.
*The (WHITE) one is for low voltage outputs for an aftermarket ECU (like a UTEC) or the stock one if you choose to eliminate the stock O2 sensor.

So can i connect the AEM to the UTEC and the UTEC will read from it?

Yeah works like a charm. The AFR gauge actually runs off the TXS Tuner & Tuner WB O2 sensor... But I can't take credit for the solution. Here ya go~

No, you can NOT connect the AEM wideband to the UTEC.

You can use software to log both datasets at the same time.

Gothchick, that thread is doing the opposite, displaying the TurboXSs wb tuner a/f value on an external guage. This guy already has a complete wideband sensor/guage.

Here's how I wired mine up... Works great.

Edit: This is a single channel setup - I'm looking to go dual channel soon...

The OP does not have the TXS Tuner, he only has the stand alone AEM wideband and a UTEC. Without spending much more [wasted] money he can't do what he wants to do.

The cheapest solution is to use a UTEC and an AEM (or innovate) wideband and use a software bridge. This will give you a guage'd display, and full logging capabilities for < $300, as opposed to almost $450 for the Tuner box and ~$200 for the display.

I do have the utec, I think I am going to have to get that software to bridge that issue. I got it installed, I called AEM and they took care of me

Which software 'bridge' do you recommend?

1) MPS_UTECLogger v2.6 might be okay.
2) UCC Release 4 might be okay too.

Both were developed for the Subbie guys. And both have been 'adapted' to the Z, and are still hit-n-miss & 'buggy' for the Z... To my knowledge, there are no other software bridges for the Z's version of UTEC. If there is, I'd love to know about it, so I can check it out...

That being said, I'd recommend the OP get a TXS Tuner & run his AFR gauge off that. It's more reliable and isn't tied to possible flaky 'software' to function properly. Plus, with the TXS Tuner, you only have (1) connection to plug into your laptop to log, vs. the 'software' method that requires additional hard-wiring (from the AFR gauge) & multiple connections to your laptop (with possible port conflicts) to log properly...

I've used the MPS with minimal issues. I have also used the UTI, but not very much.

So far, I like the MPS better for its display, but the UTI has much more potential. The UTI doesn't have a 'full screen digital guage' mode.

I used to run it all through my laptop, but I got sick of hooking it up whenever I wanted to drive the car, so I installed a Carputer that displays all the info on my OEM navi screen. Here is more info about my setup: https://my350z.com/forum/forced-induction/278651-carputer-installed-for-logging-guages.html

^^^ Great thread. Great work for a G. Fitment under the passenger seat in a Z would probably be preferable though. Thanks for posting it up! :-)

I figured you were kidding. That's kind of funny you posted that link, as I haven't even been following that thread. I didn't know there had been so many posts after my last one.
