Noob question

I see a lot of you guys are talkin about Utec. What is it? Is it a chip or a custom program or what? I don't have my sig up yet and i apologize, but it'll be done soon. For now, it's an '03 touring and i'm lookin for an intake (best brand for the money), exhaust (not a weed-eater), and some computer work (preferrably a programmer or chip i can return to stock without any trouble).

Any and all input would be greatly appreciated!!

The UTEC is a engine management system from TurboXS.

It is widely considered the best EMS under $1000

Ok. So my next question then is do i have to be a genious to use it? I don't claim to know what i'm doin at all when it comes to engine tuning. I'd like to be able to just upload a program if possible. I also have an '03 powerstroke and a superchips tuner for it. Is it about the same thing or do i have to actually adjust the timing and A/F mixture and such?
