So E30 (10gallons 93octane + 4.5 gallons E85) is ~99 octane and about $4 cheaper than filling up up on 14.5gallons of straight 93 octane.
At what point does your tune need to be adjusted to account for the lower energy content in E85.?
I think 99-100 octane plus methanol would be more than enough to run 4-5 psi more at the strip without going to straight e85 and not have to run 1200cc+ injectors to make 630 whp
any ideas? experience?

i know out west blender pumps are popular. We have 1 e85 pump and its only 4 miles from work. If I could run E30 and not have to richen up the AFR that much, that would be perfect for my track days.
I'll probably bring 5 gallons of e85 with me to Forged and mix up e30 as my 'race gas tune'.
no sense setting up a q16 tune if I'd never actually use it (unless somehow 4 more turbos get installed and I can make 900+hp for a bragging run)
Although, almighty wikipedia says that e85 only has a 'true' octane rating of 94-96 but still performs like 105 Not really worth it. More research needed. Not to mention that most pumps are not even E70 right now bc of the 'winter blend' http://www.e85mustangs.com/regions123.html
Need to find test cars that ran cars on pump vs VP110 vs e85 and see how much power they could run at each fuel.
