Default Uprev tune at Performance Motorsport (pics)

Today I had the pleasure of meeting the guys at performance motorsport in NY and having my car uprev tuned. I will say the facilities are top notch, clean, and professional and the entire "experience" was just great.

On to the results, my 03 G35 has an invidia true dual, plenum spacer, motordyne ART pipes, z-tube, and a lightweight flywheel, so very light mods. I'd post the dyno sheet but it looks like a bit of a mess since Andrew couldn't get a proper RPM readout due to my wire tuck (turns out they clamp onto a wire I hid ) so while I have an accurate HP baseline vs tune graph the TQ graphs are not correct. Anyways, my baseline was actually at just about the same peak stock vs tune at 276 vs 279. However the gains from about 3500rpm to 6000rpm are at 10-15hp, so for example baseline vs tune @ 4700rpm was 220hp vs 232hp and it makes a big difference when driving. Overall the car feels much stronger as well as significantly smoother across the entire powerband. I'm def. pleased with the results and will gladly go back for future work.

Cheers,
Mario

Yea, being surrounded by so much boosted win lit a fire under my *** to finally get a twin turbo haha. I'm going to hang out and wait until Boosted Performance comes out with his mid-mounted twins kit (hopefully by the end of the year if he hurries up). Plan is to install myself, but come out to PM to have them inspect and tune it.

Once we clean the shop up I will be taking new pics to really show just how big our facility is.

They have a great shop. I was just about to have my car tuned there with uprev also but my damn beater needed $760 in parts recently . Anyway, I was there during a 370z dyno day where they did some base runs to see gains from testpipes and FI catbacks.

How much does an Uprev tune cost? Do you have to buy any hardware, or is it just a cable the tuner uses? Is it worth getting a tune wit hpopcharger, plenum spacer, test pipes and midpipe back exhaust?

UPREV is $600 for N/A cars. No cables are included, (the one that UPREV sells, which is the cipher cable, only lets you download e-tunes or read codes on your car).

EVERY customer gets a CUSTOM TUNED map for 93 octane fuel and a complimentary valet map.

Itll be worth it for your setup, more than likley running lean right now with all the intake and exhaust work you did.

^ Osiris Standard is $500 for the Z from their website and comes with the cipher cable. Reason why I mention this is what happens when your setup changes and you need a new tune? I forgot to ask PM when I was there.

kinda strange results on the net hp gained. Not only did i pick up 10-15 across the board i peaked with a gain of 10-12. was it a very conservative tune?

+1. I was tuned there too in february and had similar across the board gains with a peak of 13hp. just getting 3 off an osiris tune seems low. you did destroy me in whp tho. i only hit 260 (auto ftl).
