Default ProEFI rolling anti-lag log

A few of you might have heard about rolling anti-lag. Basically its brake boosting, but not using your brakes, but pulling timing to build boost while you are driving. You will never win a race in a big turbo car like mine without having boost built before the hit.

ProEFI has the best strategy for rolling antilag using closed loop control.

I attached a log, i know, next time I need to get a vid of the fireballs out the exhaust while its antilagging.

So at #1, I hit my rolling antilag button. The green line is timing, you can see it drops to -15*.

#2 shows my rpm (blue) stays constant ( 3350 +/- 100 rpms) even though my TPS (orange line) is ~100%

The red line is boost and you can see it going up as the car is anti-lagging. For this test I only have it set for 4 psi (on a 14psi wastegate spring, so the ProEFI has no problem controlling boost even when the wategate isnt being operated).

I hit 4psi, let go of the switch (#3), timing goes back to normal and zoom zoom.

Without RAL, I do not start building boost for a hundred hundred rpm more and if I was really racing, I could hit the switch at 5000rpm, and launch with 20+psi all while the ProEFI traction control keeps the tires from blowing off.

One of the very cool features that ProEFI implements!

Nice man. Pro EFI is legit no doubt.

Not in my price bracket though! :P

15 degrees is a lot... Is it 3d mapped? Is that a constant 15degrees or how is it setup for different rpms, gears?

I've been thinking about how to use the haltech launch control with a switch, to use for rolling clutch dumps. Not nearly as fancy. I think black bird had this harness modified for brake boosting but I'll have to dredge up that thread. Amazing how cluttered searches have become.

How do you like this vs brake boosting?

its closed loop, so it will pull timing until it hits the target or hits the max retard you define. With these big turbos, I need more rpm to really hit decent boost while not retarding the timing too much.

brake boosting doesnt create near as much boost

Lol with those big turbos I bet your car temporarily spins the earth in a different direction... then the tires start screaming as space and time get warped.

I tried the RAL in my friend's GTR. It was crazy fun and super scary. He uses the EcuTek though.

OT, the EcuTek is impressive!

The gtr's are pushing the limits of space time. They don't really count lmao
