Mikey loves a good chat on a thread - the more off topic the better
We luv ya Mikey
So if we started a thread where the topic was "how far off topic can you be" how would that sit within the post whoring rules

Did it on the way to work mate - voted Conservative as always - Really don't know why we've got a labour government, since the last election I've not found one person who would admit to voting for Labour or Labur as one school kid wrote during his little in school dummy election - no no no no no ..... no wonder we're in this bloody state.
That remind me of a joke .... Two lads from Dudley went to visit the site of the old twin towers in America shortly after the terrorist attack. While they were looking at the remains a local police man politely enquired where they were from, they replied Dudley .... the policeman said "right, and what state's that in" half through habbit and half not recognising the accent; "much the same as this actualeeee "

I'm buggered for voting..
I asked for a postal vote and I think my housemate threw my forms away
Doesn't matter anyway.. Lib Dems will win my local one.. no question.

I always love the misconceptions that people have about policies and what they will do. For example, the Tories propose removing stamp duty on homes below £250,000. They claim that this will reduce prices for first time buyers. This is IMHO nonsense. It will simply push prices up. What it will mean is that the people selling their homes would have more money to spend on a new house and prices will actually go up by more.
If they really wanted to do something for first time buyers, why not just not charge them stamp duty and charge it for everyone else?

Good job the swear filter is on there !!!!!!
As someone who gave the ex wife my half of the house in the divorce, I'm not that bothered by stamp duty although I acknowledge it is and will continue to be an important issue in Post Thatcher Britain. I'm more concerned with the state of British Industry and also how the government treats small businesses - as we're a recruiter employing 12 or so specialising in recruitment for the manufacturing sector (bit screwed really aren't I) ..... I just haven't seen labour lift a finger to help on these fronts in the last 8 years .... at least the conservatives have more favourable policies from this perspective.
(God help me I'm actually being serious here)
