ZdayZ 2009

Hi all,

sorry for the delay in posting this but we are working hard on getting ZdayZ 2009 under way. We hope to have the website up after this weekend.

What I can tell you right now is:

That it will be MAy 28th thorugh 31st

It will be at Fontana Village Resort again

There will be a car show for 2009 The car show will be a judged car show and we will have rules and criteria posted on the website hopefully by 1/1/09. these rules and critieria are being written by Jeremy and Danya Barrows

Thursday night will start off with a Weenie Roast and a concert. The band is Natty Boh out of Charlotte. http://www.myspace.com/nattybohduo

We will have the first annual Time, Speed, Distance rally this year. This will be conceurrent to the judged car show, so if you want to show your car, you may show it, if you want to drive your car, go for it.

We will have anothe prize rally, look for it to be bigger than last years

We will try to do the DAM FOTO again, but as always that is dependant upon TVA's allowance to do so.

We will be having tech sessions again, we hope to have some of the repeat tech sessions as well as sessions on High performance driving, Brakes and suspension tuning, etc...

We will try an new event, called the parasol parade, where we line up all of he roadsters, starting with the fairlady roadsters and lining up by generation and send them for a lap over the dragon, let Killboy get some shots of that. Weather dependant, ladies we would love to see parasols out the top, hence the name, this is not a race but a themed cruise

We hope to have the exhaust sound offs again, slightly reorginized, whereas we do the worst sounding competion first, then the best sounding competion second.

We will have the scavanger hunt again, but look for a higher degree of difficulty this year.

We have some nightlife as well, as stated Thursday night we will have a weenie roast and concert, Friday night we hope to have a beer swap and another concert (with something different added for fun), and Saturday we hope to have another movie night as well as an XBOX challenge

We are working on menus, activities, and sponsorships right now, so stay tuned. But we have verbal confirmation from most of our previous sponsors, so look to have them back again.

If you have an in with a major car rag let us know, we are looking to get a foot in the door with Modified or other big car rag for advertising and coverage

Sounds good to me. I lost my Zdayz virginity last year so I wasn't completely familiar with how everything was organized. Def lookin forward to meeting a ton of people and puttin down large amounts of alcohol this year though!

Better hurry up and book your room. I reserved my room Thursday night and they were getting booked solid. All the 3 bedroom cabins are gone from what I have heard.

Ummmm, yeah, that was a managerial oversight, stay tuned for a revised scchedule. Sorry about the oversight.

Actually we decided to do something different this year. Boco burgers as a vegetarian option.

Friday night will be Burgers, Chicken Breasts, Bun, potatoe salad, slw, desert, tea/water

Saturday night will be Pizza, salads, desserts, tea/water. Cheese pizza as a vegetarian option.

I know we had discussed having volunteers doing some of the cooking, that doesn't fly very well in Fontana, they would find another way to get thier money out of us. Hopefully they won't screw up "easy" food. I thnk we would all rather have a simple GOOD meal than a complex bad one!
