Default New Price on RPS Cyn-R-G Segmented Flywheel

**$425**

Traditional heat shields warp because of the uneven heat produced by a slipping clutch. Just like a car going around in a circle, the outside tires go faster than the inside tires, the clutch disc slides faster around the outside of the flywheel than it does around the inside. The faster moving outside surface gets hotter than the inside surface. Because metal expands more the hotter it gets, the outside of the heat shield expands more than the inside. Traditional heat shields are made of one piece metal rings, so when the outside expands more than the inside, the only thing the shield can do is warp.
The CYN-R-G Segmented heat shields are not connected so they can expand and contract without warping. A warped heat shield causes the clutch to slip, which causes more heat and more warpage.
Stay away from “warped” designs and go with CYN-R-G!

Works in conjuntion with all RPS 300ZX clutches, Sport series, Max series, etc. as well as most other aftermarket clutches. Read more about this awsome flywheel here:

Do you offer any deals on a clutch flywheel combo?

I was thinking one of their Turbo clutches. I want something that will hold up to about 600WHP but is not ridiculous for day to day driving..

For 600whp you are looking at the Max series which are definately heavier than stock but not outrageously heavy. Check out member "alpine"'s review of the Max Street in the FI section.

What would the set up cost? I'm not looking to break the bank on it since I still need to get some decent brakes soon. But I do understand the speed is money and its all about how fast you want to go.

Looks very well engineered! BUT......why does the 350Z model weigh so much more than the flywheels for the 300ZX's?
